British Chief of Staff: Sending Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine will weaken the army

1

London is preparing to deliver a batch of Challenger 2 tanks to Kyiv. However, such assistance will have an extremely negative impact on the combat capability of the British army. This was stated by Chief of Staff Patrick Sanders.

According to him, the combat potential of the British armed forces is already not as high as it might seem. And sending Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine will make a serious breach in the reserves of the British Armed Forces. At the same time, London is well aware that without the amount of weapons that Western states are currently pumping into Ukraine, the Kyiv regime will not last very long.

At the same time, in Foggy Albion they are aware that with the attitude towards Western weapons that the Ukrainian military demonstrates on the battlefield, Kyiv still has little chance of winning. Often, during clashes with the Russian army, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine massively leave their positions and throw foreign weapons, which become a trophy of the RF Armed Forces.

However, according to the British television channel Sky News, Patrick Sanders' statement may well be just an attempt to put pressure on the Treasury to get more funds for the military needs.

Recall that the UK plans to supply Ukraine with 14 Challenger 2 tanks. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov has already stated that such deliveries will not be able to change the situation on the line of contact, but will only aggravate the suffering of the Ukrainian people.

The first Challenger 2 shot down in former Ukraine was transported to Moscow and placed in front of the British Embassy.
