German general: Hundreds of "Marders" and "Leopards" will not change the situation in Ukraine

The West continues to supply Ukraine with various kinds of weapons. Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke about the imminent dispatch of a company of Leopard tanks to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, no heavy technique unable to stop the RF Armed Forces - this was expressed by the former Brigadier General Erich Fad, who worked as an adviser on military policy Former German Prime Minister Angela Merkel.

The military officer noted that Russian units are conducting active offensive operations in the area of ​​Bakhmut (Artemovsk). It is likely that the Russian Armed Forces will soon liberate the entire territory of Donbass.



Along with this, the military believes that there are not enough Marders and Leopards to capture the eastern part of Ukraine and Crimea. An important role is played by the large mobilization potential of the Russian army, which is about 2 million people - in such a situation, Western weapons are virtually powerless.

The general also expressed the opinion that it would not be possible to end the Ukrainian conflict by military means. The confrontation can only be ended by negotiations, which should be initiated by Russia and the United States. According to Fad, a similar point of view is shared by US Chief of Staff Mark Milley.
