Colonel General: Russia does not have enough mobilization resource in case of a major conflict
Russia has a rather large mobilization resource, and its formation meets the tasks of ensuring the country's defense capability. However, in a major combat confrontation, this will not be enough to win. So believes the head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Colonel-General Andrey Kartapolov.
The reserve is intended for this, but everything will depend on the scale of the conflicts. We will not be able to completely dispense with the mobilization reserve in the event of a large-scale war
– said Kartapolov in an interview RBC.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry does not disclose the size of the state's mobilization reserve.
The day before, State Duma deputy Lieutenant-General Andrey Gurulev spoke about the need to build up the mobile reserve of the Russian Armed Forces, since Poland and other NATO countries could not be ruled out interfering in the Ukrainian conflict. At the same time, the military believes that at present there is no need for a second wave of mobilization, since not all previously mobilized citizens have begun to perform their military duties.
In addition, Gurulev is sure that the Russian industry is not yet ready to provide a large number of mobilized military personnel with everything they need.
The Kremlin also repeatedly pointed out that there were no grounds for a second wave of mobilization.
