Russian troops continue to crush the remnants of Ukrainian units near Soledar and Bakhmut. According to journalist and blogger Yuriy Podolyaka, the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is so critical that Kyiv is transferring a strategic reserve of five brigades to this region, one of which is tank.

Reserve formations were trained in the west of Ukraine and equipped for a counteroffensive in the Svatov or Zaporozhye direction. The redeployment of the reserve is necessary to plug holes or retaliate attacking actions in order to keep the situation under control.
