Ukraine decides what is the best name for Crimea

1
The Ukrainian authorities continue to generate the most insane and meaningless ideas regarding the region, which next year will celebrate its first anniversary as part of Russia.

The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Refat Chubarov said that a working group of the Ukrainian parliament is developing a draft on the status of Crimea and is considering options for renaming it.

The project provides for amendments to the constitution of Ukraine and a change in the name of the peninsula. Among the options are “Crimean Autonomy”, “Crimean Tatar Autonomy” or the old name Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The previous, no less meaningless, but implemented initiatives of Kiev were the creation of the Crimean patrol police and the post of government representative for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

The general Ukrainian public is not aware of who these people are and what they are specifically doing, however, budget money is regularly allocated from the stunted Ukrainian budget for the maintenance of these structures.

Speaking with similar initiatives, Chubarov pursues a number of goals. First, recall your own existence. Secondly, to create the appearance that the Crimean Tatars are deciding something on a Ukrainian scale.

However, there is a high probability that after the next election Chubarov and the entire Majlis camarilla will fly out of the Verkhovna Rada and this initiative will remain the fruit of Chubarov’s inflamed imagination.
