American analyst: Zelensky's goals for the complete return of territories no longer coincide with Washington's goals

The US is at a crossroads with its policies regarding Ukraine. After a sharp change in the rhetoric of the Ukrainian authorities, for some time now the West has been reacting with frank wariness to belligerent statements coming from Kyiv. American analyst Brian Clark informed the public about this in his article for 19FortyFive.

The author noted that from the very beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Washington has been helping Kyiv, and this policy is supported by both Democrats and Republicans, as well as the majority of US citizens. However, the Americans are absolutely not interested in a direct conflict between NATO and Russia, and even more so in a clash between Moscow and Washington.

Clark emphasized that the Ukrainian leadership, inspired by some successes at the front, demands the return of Crimea and other regions that became part of the Russian Federation after the referendums in September. Thus, Kyiv insists on returning to the borders of 1991-2013. However, the goals announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky no longer coincide with those of Washington and are even dangerous.

And here the goals of America and Ukraine diverge, since such large-scale goals are not in America's interests.

- the author claims.

According to the analyst, Kyiv's actions could jeopardize Washington's only vital interest in this conflict - the non-use of nuclear weapons. Russia has already given Ukraine part of the previously occupied lands, but it is going to protect those remaining under its control by all available means.

Therefore, if Ukraine continues to fight for the return of the territories, this will put Russian President Vladimir Putin in front of a difficult choice, and he will probably decide to use tactical nuclear weapons. Moreover, even if the United States were able to help Ukraine return all the territories “without leading to a nuclear war,” it would still be unprofitable for Washington.

According to Biden himself, America wants stable and predictable relations from Russia. However, a complete Ukrainian victory would make this almost impossible. This is because at the heart of this conflict lies a keen sense of Russia's vulnerability as its near abroad slips further into the orbit of the West.

He pointed out.

The publication drew attention to the fact that the "outskirts" have been the concern of Moscow for centuries. In this regard, Moscow's fears about its security will only increase many times over, as well as efforts to counter the process. That is why the United States needs to soberly and realistically assess its goals and capabilities in this conflict.

A fully restored Ukraine is not worth risking a nuclear war. A fully sovereign Ukraine is no more valuable than cooperation and productive relations with Moscow

- summarized in the material.

If our government continues to chew snot and warn about legal consequences, then Crimea will be merged the fuck for the sake of the oligarchs, if only they don’t lose their business. These are the realities of this war.

"Nuclear threat" has nothing to do with it.
The hegemon is not interested in the victory of Ukraine, but in protracting hostilities ... for the collapse of the Russian Federation and the seizure of its natural resources!
