Su-57 fighter spotted on Russian-Ukrainian border
A video showing a flight of the Russian-Ukrainian border by the fifth generation Su-57 fighter has got into social networks.
Apparently, the combat aircraft monitors the general situation on the border and protects the sky from the encroachment of Ukrainian drones.
Meanwhile, the state corporation Rostec plans to increase the production of Su-57s under an agreement between the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, which includes Rostec) and the military department of the Russian Federation. According to the UAC statement, a new batch of fighters will soon be delivered to the air force.
The Su-57 is produced in Komsomolsk-on-Amur at the facilities of the Gagarin Aviation Plant. According to the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, the fighter jets currently at the enterprise are “in a high degree of readiness”, and the plant is busy with work on fulfilling orders until 2028.
It is expected that the pace of production of aircraft will be increased due to the acquisition of additional equipment and the use of more modern working methods.
The production line method has been introduced in the aircraft final assembly shops. Due to this, during the production of the previous generation of fighters, the reduction in the production cycle of products amounted to about 30 percent.
