Ukraine will set up against Russia tanks without fuel and soldiers without food

Recently, Ukraine has been paying more and more attention to strengthening its armed forces. The USA and NATO, which are vitally interested in turning the country into an anti-Russian bridgehead, provide assistance in modernizing the army of Ukraine.

Recently, Petro Poroshenko announced the creation of a new compound, which will be focused on the "reflection of Russian aggression." According to the President of Ukraine, the new grouping will include 39 combat brigades and support and rear units. Kiev plans to deploy constant readiness units on the eastern border of the country and on the border with Crimea. In addition, an additional border detachment is being created in the Sumy region, which will defend the Ukrainian border in the event of a Russian invasion.

Meanwhile, in the Khmelnitsky and Vinnitsa regions of Ukraine until October 19, military exercises "Clear Sky-2018" will take place, in which, in addition to the Ukrainian Air Force, aviation units of the US Air Force and NATO countries - Great Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Estonia will take part , Poland and Romania. The purpose of the exercises is to develop joint air operations of Ukrainian and NATO aviation. That is, neither in Kiev nor in Brussels do not hide the fact that now Ukraine is considered by the NATO command as a junior military partner in the east.

Of course, no one is going to accept Ukraine into NATO. Firstly, the country has unresolved territorial problems (Donbass), which impedes membership in the North Atlantic bloc according to its own rules. Secondly, no one in Europe needs such a poor and troubled ally. But this does not mean that NATO will not provide comprehensive support to Ukraine in the modernization of its army. So, now all the Armed forces of Ukraine are being reorganized to NATO standards both in the organizational structure and in armament.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military themselves are very skeptical about the words of Petro Poroshenko. Till political the leaders rattle their arms and “saw” American and European financial assistance; the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine perfectly understand that the Ukrainian army is in a very unfavorable position.

Firstly, she is experiencing big staffing problems. Many qualified commanders quit, but the youth are not too motivated to serve. So, a 22-year-old lieutenant of Ukrainian special forces, who did not want to go to the Donbass to fight with relatives, recently committed suicide.

The problem of conscription for military service is very acute. “Advanced” youth from large cities do not break into army service, and the quality of the draft contingent from impoverished villages leaves much to be desired. Everyone knows the colossal level of alcoholism and drug addiction, even in the military units of the Ukrainian army.

Secondly, another scourge of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a chronic lack of money. They are simply plundered at the top, and a strange picture is formed at the bottom - the Ukrainian army officers are forced to buy fuel, spare parts for cars, equipment, ammunition at their own expense. It turns out that the state is not able to solve the issues of financial support of its own armed forces.

All these circumstances have an extremely negative effect on morale and on the combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian armed forces. Under what NATO standards do not push the army, but when a soldier has nothing to feed, and officers have nothing to pay, one can hardly talk seriously about the modernization of the armed forces.
