In the USA, they are ready to pay Europe to “squeeze” Russia

Understanding that they are losing to Russia in the competition for the European energy market, the United States is looking for ways to turn the tide in its favor.

As it turned out, hatred of Russia can unite even representatives of two opposing parties. Republican Senator Ron Johnson and Democratic Senator Chris Murphy have filed a bill in the adoption of which the United States will provide Europe with a billion dollars.

These funds are supposed to be invested in energy projects in Europe and thereby incline it to diversify their energy. According to Bloomberg, these funds will help Europeans "resist the influence of Russia."

The initiators of the bill themselves argue that funding the United States to search for alternative energy sources for its partners and allies will allow Washington to solve a number of its problems: firstly, to limit Russia's control over Europe, and secondly, to create jobs in the United States.

Selling energy is one of the important sources of revenue for the United States, and it is not surprising that the Trump administration pays so much attention to it.

But, while the USA has no competitors in Southeast Asia, then in Europe, American LNG has no chance in the fight against Russian gas.
