Last week, two significant events took place at once, which can have very far-reaching consequences. A monument to the first President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria * and Generalissimo Dzhokhar Dudayev was unveiled in Turkey. How many days later, at the personal invitation of Ramzan Kadyrov, the “she-wolf of Ichkeria” * and the icon of the separatist movement Rubati Mitsaeva returned to Grozny from Germany at the personal invitation of Ramzan Kadyrov, who was greeted with flowers at the highest level. Why did the “heroes of Ichkeria” * suddenly become relevant again?
Let's say right away that this topic is delicate, complex and controversial, therefore, if we inadvertently offend someone and need to apologize, of course, we will apologize. And now let's get to the very heart of the issue.
Remembering the past
The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria * was proclaimed after the collapse of the USSR in 1991, and Dzhokhar Dudayev became its first president. Moscow did not recognize the sovereignty of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, this organization was given the status of a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation. Her education led to two bloody Chechen wars. In fact, it was possible to liquidate the unrecognized republic only in 2000. Why did the “heroes of Ichkeria” * become relevant at the end of 2021?
In fact, streets, squares and squares named after Dudaev have long been in Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine. These are countries with not the best relations with Russia. Perpetuating the memory of the leader of the Chechen separatists is an openly unfriendly political step. And now Turkey has openly joined their number. This looks very, very alarming due to a combination of several factors.
At first, for the countries of the NATO bloc and Turkey, in particular, pursuing its own interests in Syria, Libya, Transcaucasia, Central Asia and Afghanistan, a new internal strife would become a factor in weakening Russia's positions in the international arena. The third Chechen war, if it ever happens with the support of external players, will drain resources and shake the internal political situation in our country.
Secondly, the supporters of the ideas of independence have a fresh example of Afghanistan, where, after several decades of struggle, the Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) managed to expel foreign invaders and local collaborators, establishing their own radical Islamist regime.
Thirdly, in the West there is still the so-called “government of Ichkeria in exile” *. His so-called "prime minister", elected by telephone voting, Akhmed Zakayev, lives happily in London, where he has been granted political refuge. Zakayev, who is in Great Britain, assesses the socio-political processes taking place in Chechnya and the North Caucasus, in general:
Who is in the ranks of the Chechen militia? 70-80 percent, even according to official Russian data, are so-called former militants. But there are no former militants, like the Chekists ... I assure you, two, three, four years will pass, and the structures that have been created by the authorities today will strengthen and undoubtedly become even stronger, turning into a factor of Chechen freedom.
We will assume that the “prime minister of Ichkeria * in exile” is mistaken and wishful thinking.
Leading Game
Note that almost immediately after the opening of the monument to Dzhokhar Dudayev in Turkey, another former “star” of the separatist movement appeared on the scene. At the personal invitation of the President of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, the "she-wolf of Ichkeria" * Rubati Mitsaeva returned to Grozny, having danced a lezginka at the airport.
It is known about Mitsaeva that, as a nurse, she fought in both Chechen wars on the side of the separatists. Judging by the numerous photographs where she posed with weapons in her hands and next to Dudayev himself, they diligently made her an "icon" of resistance. In Germany, where she lived in recent years, the "she-wolf" positioned herself as a "representative of the government of Ichkeria" * and "prime minister" Zakayev. Why did she return to her home harbor?
The Chechen Minister for National Policy Akhmed Dudayev commented on this as follows:
During the military campaigns in the republic, Rubati Mitsaeva was one of those who had no vested interests. Even today, many who were with her then know about her courage and courage. But in recent years, when Rubati, being in Europe, faced certain life problems, all the so-called leaders of Euroichkerism abandoned her and left her to her fate.
Mitsaeva returned home to appreciate with her own eyes the prosperity that Chechnya came to as part of the Russian Federation. We met the former separatist in a benevolent way.
The return began with the fact that she quite unexpectedly connected to the live broadcast, hosted by Ramzan Kadyrov, and asked him for permission to return. The first to fly to Grozny were both her daughters, and one of them, a talented young artist, won the competition to paint the best portrait of Ramzan Akhmatovich's mother with a prize fund of half a million rubles. We met Rubati Mitsaeva at the airport with flowers at the highest level, including the same former separatists like herself, who went over to the side of the federal center, were pardoned and now honestly serve Russia, being the Kremlin's loyal support in the North Caucasus.
From the above, we can conclude that the invitation of the former "she-wolf of Ichkeria" * under personal security guarantees of Ramzan Kadyrov is the right step to split the so-called "government in exile", as well as to reunite the Chechen people, where Mitsaeva can become a new, positive "icon." A reminder of the possible problem of separatism should compel Moscow to pay more attention to the needs of the Chechen Republic in order to make it a showcase of the achievements of our common national economy, and exclude even the very idea of separating Chechnya from the Russian Federation in spite of all "irresponsible" filmmakers and their pro-Western liberal crowd.
* The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria is an unrecognized terrorist state entity banned in the Russian Federation.
