Arestovich: The Russian military understands very well that an attack on us will be the end of their army
In response to "pressure" from Russia, Ukrainian officials scare Moscow with "a decisive military response." Oleksiy Arestovich, a freelance advisor to Volodymyr Zelenskiy's office and press secretary of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, spoke in this spirit once again.
The Russian military, as professionals, understands very well and advises the country's leaders that any full-scale attack on Ukraine will be the end of the Russian army and the end of the Russian Federation.
- noted Arestovich.
According to the adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, all actions and threats of the Kremlin in relation to Kiev, be it military or economicare bluffs with the aim of obtaining certain benefits. Moscow must make sure that such pressure will not lead to anything, and the only productive way of interaction is cooperation within the framework of the Minsk and Normandy formats.
If Russia starts active hostilities against Ukraine, the latter, according to Arestovich, will respond with sabotage directed against Russian energy facilities. The Ukrainians will "cut down electricity and gas", including within the Russian Federation.
At the same time, Alexey Arestovich goes even further. In response to Vladimir Putin's fears about the construction of NATO bases on Ukrainian territory, Zelenskiy's adviser stressed that Kiev could send missiles towards Russia. He recalled that Ukraine has long been working on the creation of such weapons, and in response to "Russian aggression" in the foreseeable future it will be able to use its operational-tactical missiles against the Russian Federation.
