Azerbaijani army strives for full compliance with the Turkish version

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces are undergoing transformation, taking the military model of Turkey as a model. At present, the Azerbaijani army is heading towards the fullest possible compliance with this particular option. This was announced by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense on its Twitter account on October 21.

The publication says that on October 19, a solemn ceremony of presenting berets and taking the oath of the first brigade of the special forces (commandos) of the Azerbaijani army was held. This was called the next step towards harmonization with the Turkish Armed Forces. As evidence, the Turkish military department presented photographs from the mentioned event.






Note that the current leadership of Turkey seeks to increase the influence of their country in historically and ethnically close states. Ankara is trying to integrate Azerbaijan and the countries of Central Asia into its civilization project (the formation of the "Ottoman Empire 2.0" on the foundation of the Turkic world).

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to involve them in political orbit of Ankara. After the Second Karabakh War, Turkey's activity intensified in this direction. Moreover, these ambitions are not yet influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic or the fall of the Turkish economics.
