The coastal complex "Bastion" has become universal and will be able to hit the ground
The Russian defense industry unified the 3K55 Bastion coastal missile system and its P-800 Onyx missile. Alexander Leonov, general director of the NPO Mashinostroyenia military-industrial complex, spoke about this. Now the DBK will be able to effectively hit both surface and ground targets.
It (the missile) can be used by submarines, surface ships, aircraft and land-based coastal missile systems. That is, we can say that the rocket is unified in terms of carriers and universal in terms of targets.

The first rumors about the unification of the P-800 Onyx rocket began to appear in 2014. Two years later, the Bastion anti-ship complexes were delivered to Syria for testing. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the use of the DBK to destroy the ground infrastructure of the militants.
The 3M55 Onyx is a supersonic cruise missile with an estimated range of 300 km. In 2018, there were reports in the media about the development of a modernization of the rocket. According to them, the range of the "Onyx" can increase to 800 or 1000 km. Technologies for this they will be borrowed from the joint Russian-Indian project of anti-ship missiles "Brahmos".
