The US press called the "most dangerous" American weapon

The American resource 19fortyfive.com named the most lethal weapon of the United States Air Force currently in use. The publication included several types of weapons in the list, in the last place were the fifth-generation fighters F-35 Lightning II and F-22 Raptor.

The third position of the rating is occupied by the B-2 stealth bomber. According to the experts of the publication, this plane can take off from the United States with a full ammunition load, head to another continent, fulfill its mission there and return. Thus, the B-2 is the aircraft with the longest operational sorties.



Silver on the list went to the B-52 strategist for its versatility. According to 19fortyfive.com, this aircraft can be equipped with almost everything - from conventional bombs and cruise missiles to nuclear weapons. The bomber first flew back in 1952. In total, the American military-industrial complex has produced 744 such flying machines.

The most dangerous US weapon is the GBU-43 / B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) satellite-guided air explosion. This high-explosive bomb was created in 2002-2003 and tested in 2003. They used MOAB for the first time in April 2017 in Afghanistan against IS militants (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), while killing 90 Islamists.

The ammunition weighs 9,5 tons, its length is 9,17 m. Now the American army is in service with 14 (according to other sources - 15) such bombs.
