Iranians hinted to Baku about their undeniable advantage in UAVs

At the beginning of the month, Iran began large-scale military exercises on the border with Azerbaijan "Conquerors of Khaybar". Tehran is pulling a tank machinery, artillery, combat helicopters and other weapons. Drones play an important role in the defense of both the Azerbaijani and Iranian armies.

A video has appeared on YouTube showing the flight of Iranian combat drones Shahed 181 and Shahed 191 near the borders of Azerbaijan. The Iranian armed forces have practiced training strikes on the Azerbaijani side with guided missiles.




In recent years, Iran has managed to form entire squadrons of attack drones of various classes, including kamikaze UAVs. In terms of the number of unmanned aircraft, the Islamic Republic surpasses not only neighboring Azerbaijan, but also Turkey.


Meanwhile, on Saturday October 2, the Iranians showed off the new Simorgh drone in the city of Konrak. The ceremony was attended by Rear Admiral of the Iranian Navy Hossein Khanzadi. According to media reports, the range of the new Iranian combat drone reaches 1,5 thousand km, the flight height is about 5 thousand meters, while Simorgh can carry out combat missions for two days.

As for Azerbaijan, its drones are represented by Turkish Bayraktar vehicles, as well as Israeli UAVs manufactured by Azad Systems and other unmanned vehicles.
