Transparent "Soyuz": the web has shown in detail how a Russian launch vehicle is launched
An entertaining video has appeared on the Web, demonstrating in detail the operation of the stages of the Soviet-Russian Soyuz carrier rocket, delivering a manned Soyuz spacecraft with a crew on board to near-earth orbit.
Note that the Soyuz LV are easily recognizable by the four conical side blocks of the first stage, which distinguishes them from other launch vehicles, as well as the characteristic head fairing with four rectangles of lattice stabilizers and a specific SAS “tower” at the top.
The frames show the structural layout diagram of a 50-meter transparent three-stage Soyuz launch vehicle taking off at the Baikonur cosmodrome with the Soyuz spacecraft. In the course of the flight, the fuel is consumed, there is a separation of the stages, the boom of the emergency rescue system and the flaps of the head fairing.
Jet kerosene T-1 is used as fuel components in all stages of the launch vehicle. Liquid oxygen (LOX) is used as an oxidizing agent, and small amounts of hydrogen peroxide and liquid nitrogen are available to support the operation of auxiliary systems. As far as the Soyuz spacecraft is concerned, it consists of three compartments: a household, instrumentation and assembly, and a descent vehicle in the center. Manned flights have been operated since 1967.
