Multi-rotor hybrid helicopter: Russia is preparing a breakthrough

4
A new helicopter may appear in Russia that meets all the modern requirements of increased payload, economy and environmental friendliness. To this end, it will be equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, and the design of the aircraft will be multi-rotor.

As you know, the helicopters currently in operation are twin-screw; they differ only in their arrangement — transverse, coaxial, longitudinal. However, three-screw versions (the screws are located in a triangle) and even four-screw helicopters (quadrocopters) have been developed. Soviet Union aircraft manufacturers experimented with several variants of multi-rotor helicopters. Their goal was to increase the payload and speed of the rotorcraft. But then it was considered that the design is too bulky and complicated.

The proposal to use a hybrid of a traditional engine with an electric motor in a helicopter indicates that the Russian aircraft industry is moving in a global trend. Like that technical the solution will allow to increase flight range while reducing fuel consumption, but at the same time the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere will also decrease. The world's leading aircraft manufacturers are actively working towards the creation of hybrid aircraft, existing prototypes have already been created.

According to statements by Russian developers, it will be possible to get acquainted with the appearance of a promising domestic multi-rotor helicopter before the end of this year.

And why, it’s impossible to get cheap, and we don’t pull expensive equipment anymore.

Mass production reduces the cost significantly ... If a helicopter suits many customers, it will benefit, first of all, our production - our country!

      Do not write nonsense.
We can create arbitrarily expensive equipment. But in the conditions of open borders (unlike the USSR), nobody will buy such, when near in bulk cheap.

And the photo, as always, was taken the first one, not at all in the subject.
