Mysterious stealth plane photographed in the sky over the Philippines

At about 2:6 am local time on September 15, landscape photographer Michael Fugnit captured something unique in the sky over Santa Magdalena in the Sorsogon province of the Philippines with his lens. He photographed a mysterious "flying wing" stealth aircraft with a diamond-shaped fuselage and thin wings, a centralized exhaust system and a protrusion at the bottom of the fuselage, writes the American edition of The Drive.

It should be noted that the said island state is located between the South China and the Philippine Seas - two disputed and carefully controlled waters. There is a lot of military activity, especially the PRC and the United States, and all types of aircraft appear in the air on a regular basis, from strategic bombers to drones.

Fugnit told the publication that he woke up early on purpose to catch the perfect sunrise. At that moment, he noticed something unusual overhead - an object flying at a good speed, but unlike any familiar commercial aircraft. The height at which the object moved is unknown.

The publication emphasized that it could not confirm the authenticity of the image, although it carried out a cursory check and found nothing serious. Also, so far there is no reason to believe that the photographer faked the picture. However, the study of the image will continue with the help of photography experts.

The publication drew attention to the fact that the recorded object is very similar to the American Northrop Grumman RQ-180 reconnaissance drone. Moreover, his presence in this area is "completely justified", and he could fly there from "Area 51" in Nevada, from the Edwards Air Force Base in California, from the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean and from the nearby Andersen Air Force Base. in Guam.

Also, the US Air Force RQ-170 Sentinel drone can be registered as candidates. At the same time, the chances that this is an American strategic bomber B-2 Spirit are very small, since the image shows details that are not typical for it.

However, it could also be the Chinese CH-7 drone, which is similar to the American RQ-170 Sentinel, or some other classified development of China. The emergence of Chinese unobtrusive drones in the Asia-Pacific region in the coming years will become commonplace, because China is in a dispute over the islands and waters of the South China Sea with its neighbors.

As for the possibility that it was a Chinese strategic bomber Xian H-20, the chances of this are very low. Beijing would not have dared to send a plane there that did not pass the tests.

The publication added that there is another important aspect that can be associated with photography. Filipino media reported that within 3 hours from the moment the picture was taken, the local air force intercepted an unknown aircraft that violated the country's airspace. The Philippine Air Force (PAF) raised two FA-50 light fighters as the Philippine Air Defense Command Center (PADCC) detected an unidentified approaching object in the country's air defense identification zone, about 120 nautical miles northwest of Pangasinan province.

The unidentified plane was heading for Philippine airspace. It was at 21000 feet and flew at 265 knots to the northeast. FA-50 flew at maximum speed in the direction of an unknown aircraft. Approximately 4 minutes after the interception, the unknown aircraft changed direction northward, increased speed to 400 knots and headed out of the Philippine airspace. Interception was terminated at 9:45

- said in the PAF communique.

The publication once again emphasized that all data relating to the image must be considered preliminary.

So we have a very intriguing image and a unique series of events and circumstances that surround it.

- summed up the media.
