Almost half a trillion rubles will be distributed to Russian pensioners
Vladimir Putin instructed to make one-time payments to all Russian pensioners in the amount of 10 thousand rubles. The decision of the Russian president was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a recent meeting with the Deputy Prime Ministers.
At the same time, according to Mishustin, a payment of 10 thousand rubles will be received by all those who have applied for a pension, including retired military men and working pensioners. In total, 454 billion rubles will be allocated for financial support for pensioners, the goal is to help the poorest segments of the population purchase essential goods in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
The prime minister also noted that people should receive this money without unnecessary bureaucratic delays. In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova emphasized that the modernization of the Pension Fund makes it possible to receive funds without additional applications and certificates, on the principle of payments to children.

The President of Russia signed the decrees on these payments on August 24. At the same time, the first decree concerned payments to pensioners who worked in various kinds of law enforcement agencies. The second decree applied to all other pensioners.
