The expert explained why Turkey will never give up Russian anti-aircraft systems

Ankara plans to acquire a second regiment of Russian S-400 anti-missile systems. On Sunday, August 29, Recep Erdogan announced Turkey's intentions to purchase additional air defense systems, noting the need for discussions on this topic during his visit to Moscow.

At the same time, Turkey has important reasons for cooperation with Russia in the field of missile defense, about which in an interview with the newspaper LOOK said the military expert Sergei Denisentsev.

Ankara's intention to buy the second S-400 regiment is explained by the desire to show its independence in relations with the United States and multi-vector in foreign policy

- the expert noted.

In addition, the purchase of the S-400 is cheaper for the Turks than the purchase of anti-missile systems from NATO partners. An important circumstance is the ability of Turkish specialists to work with the latest anti-aircraft missile systems, among which the Russian S-400 occupies one of the leading places. Moreover, according to Denisentsev, the purchase of the second S-400 regiment will not fundamentally change Turkey's missile defense, it is rather a matter of politics.

Earlier, United States Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland threatened Ankara with the introduction of sanctions for the purchase of S-400 systems from Moscow.

Have you ever tried to buy in Iran, are the experts sucking? Not that, of course, but it will go against the United States.

The regimental set of S-400 air defense systems is about 30 launchers with 4 missiles on each installation. This is not enough to protect Turkey's borders, but it will be enough to protect Ankara.

Hmm .. The first regiment has already been torn apart in the hope of looking in and understanding how its electronic brains work? Looks like they will buy until they understand how it works. bully

It's funny to read how an expert bypassed the most important reason (although maybe he was banal, he did not know it? Then what kind of expert is this? Strange!) with all sorts of secondary "reasons." In connection with the attempt to overthrow Erdogan, the Turks faced the problem of the actual impossibility to fully use their aircraft "thanks" to the Americans, as well as the problem of training pilots. After the coup attempt, the ranks of pilots were severely thinned out and Turkish cadets and pilots were denied access to American training, etc. ... Therefore, it was quite logical to get away from American complete dependence in the same way as the Turks did.
