US Air Force missile strike causes explosion in Kabul

On August 29, another powerful explosion was heard in Kabul near the Hamid Karzai International Airport. Reuters found out that the cause was an air strike by the American Air Force. The whistleblower confirmed that the US military was aiming at a vehicle that was believed to contain explosives and a suicide bomber.



Afghan media reported that one of the missiles fired at the vehicle hit a residential building. Seven people were killed, four of them children. At the same time, these data are not officially confirmed by the authorized departments of the country. However, this is not surprising, because there is chaos in the country. The full composition of the government has not yet been formed, and the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) does not fully control the situation.

Special Correspondent RT in Kabul, Khaled al-Jaburi specified that the strong explosion was followed by the launch of five missiles. Where they were released from, he does not know. According to him, the explosion took place in the area of ​​Hadji Bugr on Al Shahid Street, which leads to the Kabul air harbor.

USCENTCOM spokesman William Urban said that a missile attack was launched due to a real threat to the airport. At the same time, the US Department of Defense reported on the successful completion of the operation - the jihadist and the mined car were destroyed.

We remind you that on August 26, a double terrorist attack took place near the Kabul airport, as a result of which about 200 people were killed, including 2 British and 13 American soldiers. More than 1000 people were injured. ISIS claimed responsibility for the barbaric action.
