NATO countries continue to evacuate their representatives from Kabul, as well as some Afghans who disagree with the Taliban regime (a terrorist organization banned in Russia). However, recent events in the country against the background of general panic and fear are not without excesses.

So, on Thursday, August 26, an Italian Air Force C130J plane was fired on, on board which there were Italian journalists and 98 residents of Afghanistan. During the attack of the militants, the military transport plane was gaining altitude, performing a maneuver to evade shots. None of those in the C-130J were injured. The Islamists fired a large-caliber machine gun from a nearby hill. This was the first attack of its kind during the evacuation from the airport in the Afghan capital.

However, the incidents were not limited to shelling. So, in Kabul on the same day, two explosions thundered, during which a total of about 100 people died, about one thousand were injured. One of the explosions occurred at the Baron Hotel, which was a gathering of British and US military personnel. The suicide bomber incident claimed the lives of 10 people, according to Fox News.

Earlier, Taliban representatives stressed that flights from Kabul are allowed only until August 31, inclusive. At the same time, the Taliban urged local residents not to leave the country. This is especially true for qualified citizens, whose services will be needed in the transition of Afghanistan to a peaceful life.
