How little Luxembourg robbed all of Europe

Balls, beauties, footmen - this is the external side of the luxurious life of Luxembourg, which he became according to the plan of Jean-Claude Juncker. The GDP of the duchy, with a population of 560 thousand people, lacking oil, gas, or natural resources, located on the territory of just 2 thousand square kilometers, is unthinkable for him 5 billion dollars a year. The average salary of a resident of Luxembourg is 60 times higher than in the United States of America. What is the “firm secret” of the microscopic state, recognized in 2 as the richest in the European Union?

In fact, everything turned out to be simple and corny. The creators of the European Union have made Luxembourg a tax haven for the oligarchs of a united Europe and other countries of the world. How does this curious scheme work that made it possible to turn Luxembourg into a repository of the international common fund?

Everything is brilliantly simple. The fact is that the Duchy of Luxembourg is one of the founders of the European Union and important bodies of this supranational entity, in particular, the European Court, are located on its territory. It is this legal aspect that gives the right to the countries on whose territory the EU bodies are located to conduct their own tax policiesbypassing the general tax policy of the European Union. And then the thing equipment. “Secret tax agreements” are concluded with VIP clients, they provide registration in the duchy and, voila, you can forget about the 20% income tax and 29% corporate income tax.

Is it any wonder that since the 1960s captains of European business began to enter the tax haven of Luxembourg? Behind them came the Arab billionaires, followed by transnational corporations. But such a practice could not go unnoticed forever. A large-scale investigation called Luxleaks (“Luxembourg leaks”) revealed that hundreds of the largest TNCs, including IKEA, Amazon, McDonald's, Scype, Pepsi, Heinz and Apple, shamelessly hid their multi-billion dollar tax revenues from duchy banks.

A journalistic investigation shows the extent of corruption and the degree of decay of the European Union system. It turns out that one of its architects laid the financial black hole in the foundation of the European Union, none other than Jean-Claude Juncker. From the post of Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, Junker has long moved to the chair of the President of the European Commission. Is it any wonder that with such a "roof" no one is in a hurry to deprive Luxembourg of the status of "holder of a common fund" for the international oligarchy? Of course, Jean-Claude Juncker himself denies any involvement in corruption. But in fact, only the employee of PricewaterhouseCoopers, who had leaked secret documents on tax fraud, and the two journalists who covered this case, were in trouble. So far they have escaped with only fines and suspended sentences. Jean-Claude Juncker himself to this day continues to occupy his position in the management system of a united Europe.

The ruling dynasty of Luxembourg actively promotes secret services of the duchy's banking sector among a narrow circle of potential customers. So, Crown Prince Henry personally invited American space program investors to offer a preferential tax treatment.

The space ambitions of Luxembourg generally deserve special mention. The parliament of the dwarf state allowed private investors to extract minerals on asteroids, despite the fact that this directly contradicts the principles of international law. The position of the Russian Space Agency on this issue is extremely clear:

Like the law adopted in 2015 in the United States, the Luxembourg law on the extraction of natural resources by private companies in space, according to the Russian Federation, compromises one of the fundamental principles of international space law - the principle of national non-appropriation of outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies.

Luxembourg today is an amazing symbiosis of the splendor of aristocratic luxury and the decay of corruption, which suits everyone, judging by the fact that the duchy received ninth place in the ranking of the least corrupt countries in the world.
