Why did the Americans so suddenly turn against Russia?
Few wonder why the US was so active in supporting the coup attempt in Belarus? Why did they activate all their capabilities, all their European puppets, in order to overthrow Lukashenka? Indeed, on the eve of the "Belomaidan" the latter was actively flirting with the United States, it seemed that the "multi-vector" combing Russia against the grain suits both sides.
The President of Belarus himself claims that the buildup of his country is associated with an active approach to Russia itself. This is partly the way it is, because in the cordon sanitaire of hostile countries built around Russia according to the old recipes of V. Orlando, a hole in the shape of the territory of the Republic of Belarus gapes impudently, which maneuvers around Russia according to the formula: move away, but not betray, draw closer, but not until absorption, bargain, but not sovereignty.
In addition, in parallel with the "Belomaidan", a card was played with the poisoning of Navalny, which was supposed to play the role of a trigger for protests already inside Russia. But it didn't burn out. It turned out that our society is not as electrified with discontent as the Belarusian one. This, by the way, is primarily due to the fact that Lukashenka has raised a whole class of young IT specialists with high incomes and a liberal outlook on his own head (“we have money, we want to live like in Switzerland”). They hated the people and Lukashenka's "soviet" state. In Russia, however, the social landscape is completely different, and the frayed liberal circles in the capital have already pretty much drunk the cup of disappointment in their leaders. In Belarus, people were generally ready to replace Lukashenko with Tikhanovskaya, who never ruled anything except pots and pans and has no intellectual authority.
US attack on Russia as an element of the new Cold War
But Lukashenka’s position only raises a new question: why did the Americans get so suddenly turned against Russia? They lived for themselves in a stable state of passive confrontation, imposed sanctions, used the theme of Russia in the internal political game, terrorized the people with Russian hackers and missiles, and justified military budgets. Why organize the overthrow of Lukashenka and try to rock the situation in Russia? It was also a fairly large-scale campaign, within the framework of which a considerable intelligence, information, diplomatic and political resource. And this is all money, and a lot. American henchmen are not going to be overwhelmed. And they struggled notably, especially in Belarus.
The answer lies in the broader issues of the confrontation between the United States and China. In July 2020, Pompeo inflated like a ball and played Fulton Churchill:
If we do not act now, ultimately the CCP will undermine our freedoms and destroy the rule-based order that our societies have built so hard. If we kneel now, the children of our children may be powerless before the Chinese Communist Party, whose actions are the main problem in the free world today. Secretary General Xi is not destined to tyrannize people inside and outside China forever if we do not allow it. This is not about containment. Make no mistake. This is a challenging new challenge that we have never faced before. The USSR was closed from the free world. Communist China is already within our borders ... If the free world does not change, communist China will undoubtedly change us. There can be no return to past methods because they are convenient. Defending our freedoms against the Chinese Communist Party is the mission of our time, and America is perfect to lead it because our founding principles give us that opportunity.
Americans have long believed that the success of suppressing a global enemy directly depends on the encirclement of its borders. Hence all these strike aircraft carriers and cordons sanitary. Perhaps this is a very dubious tactic, but the CIA and the Pentagon piously believe in it.
Thus, Russia and India, which have long borders with China, are currently playing a key role in the American strategy of the new Cold War.
The United States has estimated and divided all governments in the world into three categories: anti-Chinese, that is, allied to the United States, pro-Chinese, that is, hostile to the United States, and vacillating. Of course, the Putin government and the Lukashenko government fell into the category of pro-Chinese. Therefore, they need to be rocked and preferably replaced with loyal ones to the United States.
It is worth paying attention to who was the first to congratulate Lukashenka on his victory in those very “controversial” elections. Not "friend Putin" at all, but "comrade chairman Xi."
And on the first day after Lukashenka's victory in the elections, the head of the Belarusian office of the International Chinese Investment Corporation for Property Management (CITIC, according to the Forbes rating, is 72nd in the world in terms of assets!) Zhang Zhao handed the eternal president a Chinese gold bowl filled with Belarusian grain, with the words:
This souvenir symbolizes prosperity and wealth. And the golden bowl, according to the traditions of Chinese culture, symbolizes state power and power. We wish the great Republic of Belarus greater prosperity and power under your wise leadership.
To which Lukashenka helpfully added:
Together with China.
Belarus is a key link in China's Belt and Road Initiative. It is one of the first countries that not only supported the concept of a new Silk Road, but also began its practical implementation on its territory.
Needless to say that the program of the Belarusian opposition includes breaking this partnership?
Belarus has become for the Americans the approach to the Chinese bastion and the key to the Russian borders, the battleground of the new Cold War. Hence the unprecedented activity that they developed.
Attempted use of protests in the Far East
In the aspect of the attack on Russia, another seemingly internal Russian story emerges - the profurgals protests. Khabarovsk Territory - the region through which there is economic interaction between Russia and China. However, it was unexpectedly headed by a candidate from the Liberal Democratic Party.
Zhirinovsky's party is the most anti-communist and anti-Chinese parliamentary party in Russia. Despite all the anti-American rhetoric of Zhirinovsky himself, in the confrontation with the United States, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia is on the side of the West.
For decades, Zhirinovsky has been telling that the Chinese are conquering Siberia, that Chinese guides take tourists to Red Square and say: "This will all be ours," etc. And when the pandemic began, Zhirinovsky called the coronavirus an ethnic weapon of China.
Zhirinovsky took a consistent position in relation to Lukashenka as well. During the "Belomaidan" he went out with a protest to the Belarusian embassy in Moscow and spoke for the "orange revolutions":
Now Lukashenka is there, he came himself, but we cannot remove him. Voters vote, if not for him, then for the pro-Western ones, and we are left out in the cold. And all these are consequences from Lenin to Zyuganov, they continue to twist us. Zyuganov supports Cuba, North Korea, China, and Belarus, everything that prevents us from living. And some of the older generation are accustomed to voting for the Communist Party. But it will pass. New generation, new Belarus. When the new Belarus came out last night, they were born even under Lukashenka, but they are against him. And Khabarovsk, all ages came out there. Beirut, too, the youth came out. All the same, by 2030 all this older generation will leave, and let's hope that there will be real democracy everywhere.
By the way, the Liberal Democratic Party program says: "To achieve simplification of obtaining visas to Europe and the United States, as well as the lifting of all sanctions against Russia." So the Liberal Democratic Party is a party quite loyal to the United States.
Some believe that Zhirinovsky is playing to the audience, and his words should not be taken seriously. However, these people simply taught history poorly - Mussolini, Hitler and even Trump were also perceived as chatterboxes playing to the public.
It can be assumed that the story with Furgal - infinitely far from the problems of the new Cold War - has become, however, its local episode. Furgala was removed, among other things, because Putin does not need an anti-communist governor on the border with his strategic partner, communist China. Considering the bandit face of the defendant, the removal of the king of the second-color metal should have gone smoothly. However, a Maidan wave suddenly arose for the "people's governor", which all pro-American oppositionists began to actively support. In the slogans of the Khabarovsk residents, the good old formula was quickly worn out: "Stop feeding Moscow." It is possible that if the protests developed further, the project of the "Pacific Republic" would be rehabilitated, etc. Of course, the pro-American fragment of Russia in the Far East would greatly agitate China.
By the way, in the official Chinese press there was not a word about the protests in Khabarovsk, and information about the protests in Belarus was given only according to the reports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. On the other hand, rallies in support of Lukashenka were covered in detail with numerous photographs.
The above should not be taken conspiratorially. Even the CIA cannot artificially inspire the protests of tens and hundreds of thousands of people. The movement of huge masses of people is spontaneous and completely objective. However, the United States, having an extensive network of agents of influence controlled by political organizations and the media, seeks to direct the protests in a direction favorable to its global politics.
At the end of American hegemony, the world again entered an era of confrontation between West and East, two polar political systems. And all local events are refracted through the prism of this global confrontation.
The Chinese like to say that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. This means that Russia has every chance of a place under it.
