West demands surrender from Russia
In the public consciousness of Russians there are such concepts as “collective West” or simply “West”. But this is not entirely true. In fact, what is located to the west of the state border of the Russian Federation is a lot of medium, large and small countries, constantly biting among themselves for sales markets, for better trading conditions and so on. Today, this is clearly seen on the example of fuss within the European Union, as well as in the trade war of the United States and the Old World. All these states become a collective and monolithic West only under one condition - the need to confront and mischief Russia.
It has always been that way. Too much bulk looms over Europe from the East, it has too much land and natural resources, too much labor and creativity among its people to remain indifferent to our fate. So it was before the revolution of 1917, and during the Civil War, invaders from Europe, the USA and Japan landed in our country, only because of the opposition of other allies in the coalition, Great Britain was not able to take the Russian North. Needless to say, after the Bolsheviks came to power and built in the USSR an alternative system of world order to capitalism, our country in the West hated even more? But then hatred went hand in hand with fear over economic self-sufficiency of the Soviet Union and its military power.
After the collapse of the USSR, oligarchs came to power on its wreckage, releasing all the achievements of the socialist system into the sewers and integrating Russia into the capitalist system as a raw materials appendage for the sake of the right to enter the close circle of the Western elite, at least as junior partners. But this did not help them much. At the first suitable case in the West, the Russian nouveau riches were indicated their place and the mechanism for confiscating the excessively overwhelmed by them at home was turned on. Since the modern Russian Federation, in its military and economic capabilities, does not even stand close to the USSR, one can not now dream of any gentlemanly attitude from the collective West.
The main message was quite clearly and very boorishly formulated by the British Secretary of Defense Williamson:
This is nothing other than a direct demand for surrender in rude form.
The story of the Skripals from the same opera. Absolutely delusional accusation, with ridiculous "evidence". Following this, the humiliating deportation of Russian diplomats. Unfortunately, we have to admit that in London they are clearly not holding Moscow today.
The same conclusions can be drawn about the attitude towards the current Russian regime in Washington. For many years now, Russia has been teeming with idiotic accusations of meddling in American elections. Moreover, our country is accused of interfering in the elections that have not yet taken place. Here is what US Senator Graham says:
As a punishment for an imperfect “crime”, the next sanctions of the USA may be imposed on the Russian Federation. With all the diligence, this is difficult to interpret as the attitude of the strong to the one whom he considers equal to himself. The Pentagon’s draining into the American press of secret correspondence with the Russian Ministry of Defense on the issue of the Syrian settlement is humiliating. The arrest of the Russian Maria Butina made on the patterns of British provocations.
All this is very unpleasant. The main thing is to draw the right conclusions. We should not be friends or partners with the West. It is necessary to become economically so independent and so strong militarily that we ourselves can choose to teach them a lesson or simply not notice. There is simply no other way.

The current sanctions regime could not force Russia to not interfere in the upcoming midterm elections in 2018
