They see no boundaries: Isn’t it time for us to answer the stunned Balts?

The very existence of our country does not give rest to its many opponents. But if in the USA and Western Europe they even understand that Russia is a powerful state with tremendous potential, then the Baltic and Ukrainian satellites of the USA, as always, try to surpass even their masters in Washington in their Russophobia. Recently, the Latvian politician Alexander Kirshtein announced the need to divide Russia into "small countries by ethnic composition." Like, only in this case our country will cease to pose a threat to the West.

Of course, Kirshtein voiced the dreams of many haters of Russia both in America and in Europe, but he did so in fact at the level of a joke, demonstrating a striking lack of horizons. Kirshtein is seventy years old, he was born back in 1948, he practically lived his life, but he never learned that in Russia the majority of the population are Russians. It will not work to divide Russia into separate states according to ethnicity. With the exception of a number of national republics, in most regions of the Russian Federation, Russians make up at least 50-60% of the population. And this is not to mention the fact that most Russian peoples lack the basis for separatist sentiments.

Our country in the 1990s already faced this phenomenon in the most terrible form of bloody armed conflicts. Therefore, Russia received the vaccine from separatism even now even those people in the North Caucasus who twenty years ago fought against the federal forces with weapons in their hands, for the most part, no longer want any separatist experiments. What can we say about the much less problematic national regions of the Volga or Siberia.

Interestingly, just Latvia or Estonia is much easier to divide along ethnic lines than Russia. For example, in Latvia, Russian and Russian-speaking citizens make up one third of the country's population, many of them do not even have equal rights with Latvians. The percentage of Russians in Latvia is greater than in Russia of all non-Russians combined. But, unlike Latvia, in Russia people of any nationality can make a dizzying career in the state apparatus. So there’s nothing to be offended at by the many peoples living on its territory. Calling for the division of Russia, Kirshtein and similar figures actually play against themselves. After all, with their own statements, they legitimize the processes taking place in Ukraine and make one wonder why not divide Latvia itself?

Of course, Kirshtein is an odious figure reminiscent of Irina Farion or Dmitry Yarosh in Ukraine, who also love loud and insane statements. But in the words of the Latvian deputy, who, incidentally, was criticized even by his own colleagues, nevertheless, there is a certain amount of truth. By stupidity or intentionally, but he once again voiced the cherished goal of the West - to destroy the Russian state by any means, to achieve the complete cessation of its existence as a single country. This should be taken into account when building further relations with the Baltic countries, including the same Latvia.

He is an exact copy of Kiselev with Solovyov only from the other side. "Russians make up at least 50-60% of the population" - well, it depends on who is considered Russian.
