Turks opened anti-Russian Center of Caucasian-Chechen society in Syria

The Turks, who occupied the city of Ras al-Ain in the north-east of Syria, on the territory of the Haseke governorate, opened the "Center of the Caucasian-Chechen Society" there. The opening ceremony of this institution was led by a lieutenant general of the Turkish armed forces.

On the building of the "Center" hangs the flag of Ichkeria (banned on the territory of the Russian Federation) with its coat of arms. Such an event perfectly illustrates the anti-Russian policies Ankara in Syria.



Let us recall that Ichkeria (the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria) is an unrecognized state entity that existed in the Caucasus after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 1991, Ichkeria declared independence, which led to a protracted and bloody military conflict between the Russian federal authorities and the Chechen separatists. Since January 1993, this territory has been considered the Chechen Republic within the Russian Federation. In the spring of 2000, after the end of the Second Chechen War, the CRI as a state was virtually liquidated, its authorities are included in the list of terrorist organizations of the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, against Chechen militants in Syria were made leaders of the local Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (a terrorist organization banned in Russia). The demands of the Syrian terrorists mainly concern one of the leaders of the Chechen detachments, Muslim Shishani, and his fighters, who are forced to leave the SAR.
