Impeachment of Macron and the transformation of France into Ukraine
While the attention of the whole world was riveted on the meeting of Putin and Trump in Helsinki and its outcome, a rather important event took place in France unnoticed. There was a scandal that could lead to the resignation of Macron.
The reason was the new details from the “May Day demonstration” in Paris, which were filmed by one of its participants. It surfaced last week. The hero of this video was Alexander Benalla, an employee of the presidential administration, who previously worked in the gendarmerie. He quite unceremoniously treated one of the participants in the riots from the Black Block.
It is an extremist organization that does not have a clearly articulated idea. The “Black Block” unites anarchists, ecologists, socialists and many others. The only thing that connects them together is black clothes and scarves. Some of them hide their faces under masks. Requirements can be any, they are not important. The main thing is the process itself, which consists in the construction of barricades, tossing windows and cars with stones and Molotov cocktails, attacks on police officers, etc.
For some reason, these guys immediately reminded me of the Ukrainian "Maidan activists."
In general, the official gave a couple of slaps to one of the protesters and his fighting girlfriend, who rushed to his aid. At the same time, the activist squealed like a pig, whom they want to kill.
This event fell on camera, and now he faces serious troubles. All the dogs were let down on him. Everyone was indignant at his act: French newspapermen, feminists, "greens", representatives of the LGBT community and all other socially active sections of French society. Outraged activists present him as a real monster beating up children, and exclaim: "They are children!" They together demand from Macron the head of one of the employees of their administration, otherwise they will consider him a dictator and a fascist.
It was announced that Benalla was fired. Moreover, he was arrested. MPs supported this decision, both representatives of the ruling party and the opposition.
It would seem that the incident was hushed up, and Macron "saved face." But it is not so. The fact is that although Benallah was formally wrong and acted extremely unprofessionally, the sympathies of most ordinary, normal Frenchmen were on his side. These people represent a healthier, but less socially active part of French society. Thanks to them, Macron came to power, and it is their support that he risks losing if he “merges” Alexander Benallu.
Now, for some reason, they talk a lot about the act of the presidential official, but they don’t remember the events that took place then in Paris. And the celebration of May Day in the capital of France was accompanied by barricades, clashes with the police, burning tires and cars, broken windows. The French criticized Russia for its undemocracy and intolerance, citing their country as an example. And now “enlightened Europe" is reaping the fruits of what it itself has sown.
