Victory in Daraa: Syrian army "slashed in the bud"

The Syrian army liberated a significant part of the city of Daraa, located in the southern part of the country and which is the center of the province of the same name. It is especially noteworthy that the Syrian state flag was hoisted in the square near the Al-Omari mosque. It was in the city of Daraa, on this square, that the beginning of the conflict, which has been going on for more than seven years, was laid.

In March 2011, the first demonstrations against Damascus began near the Al-Omari Mosque. From the very first days, they grew into pogroms, which were accompanied by attacks on law enforcement officers. And soon the “Syrian opposition” had weapons, which the sponsors of the war “generously” fitted.

A Syrian officer who hoisted the flag over the military-controlled area, said it was a historic day for the country.

This success was achieved after the opposition groups holding most of the city of Daraa accepted the surrender conditions put forward by the Syrian army and the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties. Some of the militants, having surrendered their weapons, will go to Idlib province, held by terrorist groups. Another part of them has the opportunity to surrender to the authorities, regulate their status and stay at the place of residence.

In addition, the fighters of the Syrian army with the support of Russia liberated another important city in the province of Daraa - Tafas. This happened after long and intense negotiations in which Russian officers participated. As a result, the armed groups agreed to surrender the city. Now the state flag of the Syrian Arab Republic rises above the building of the local council.

The governor of Daraa province, Muhammad Khalid Hannus, who attended the ceremony, said:

Today we celebrate the raising of the Syrian flag in the city of Tafas. For seven years this city suffered from war, but today we were able to crush terrorism, were able to drive all the militants out of here

At the same time, tragic people come from Syria news. So, in the province of Deir ez-Zor, as a result of the next raid of the American coalition, dozens of people were killed.

According to the Syrian agency SANA, settlements of Baguz al-Fawkani and As-Susa were bombarded by Western forces. 30 civilians died, dozens more were injured. Among the victims of the air raid - mostly women and children. The death toll may increase, as there are critically ill people among the wounded.

Another city seriously affected by the actions of the United States and its coalition is Racca. The journalists of the RT channel managed to get there. They report that a year after the so-called liberation of Raqqa, they are still in ruins, and underneath are many dead bodies. Residents of the city lamented the fact that the international community (first of all, talking about Western countries) pays too little attention to the issue of restoring Raqqa, although there have been many promises made in this regard. People have to disassemble the rubble on their own, most often - manually, because there is not enough equipment. In addition, there is a risk of running into land mines.

As for those cities that the Syrian army is liberating with the participation of Russian specialists, normal life is being established there in a short time.
