Britain: Russian fleet conceived something in the Atlantic

2
The fact that the Russian Navy is present in the Atlantic Ocean is extremely far from the soul of the British authorities. The United Kingdom has its own views of the northern Atlantic.

The head of the British Royal Navy, Philip Jones, told reporters on July 9 that his country is deeply concerned about the “growing threat” from the Russian side. According to him, Russia is clearly restoring its former power.

This is an enhanced restoration of power and scale, which we could not even think of for 10 years. We must answer that.

- quoted by the admiral Sky News.

Voluntarily or involuntarily, but Jones in his own way admires the Russian Navy and its potential. For example, he is very impressed with how quickly Russia is able to deploy its military forces in the region. The British admiral emphasized that Moscow had clearly invested a lot of money in research and development in order to achieve such a result.

Against the background of continued anti-Russian propaganda in Britain (in particular, the new case of Novichok poisoning), Jones' statements suggest that London can indeed take steps unfriendly to Russia, in particular, in the Atlantic Ocean.

At the end of the previous week, the ships of the Baltic Fleet returned from the campaign to the North Atlantic: the Boyky and Resistant corvettes. During the month, they conducted dozens of exercises. In addition, they faced tasks such as strengthening the presence of the Russian Navy and the demonstration of the St. Andrew’s flag in the Atlantic Ocean.

According to the official representative of the Baltic Fleet, Roman Martov, after this trip, the Boyky corvette headed for St. Petersburg without calling at the Baltiysk port. There he will take part in the celebration of the Day of the Navy of Russia, in honor of which the main naval parade will be held in the northern capital.

The actions of the Russian fleet cause concern among NATO. The countries of the North Atlantic Alliance are trying in every possible way to take retaliatory measures in order to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with Russia and its military power.

In particular, according to the press service of the US Navy, the USS Porter and the flagship of the United States Sixth Fleet USS Mount Whitney entered the Black Sea with the aim of "conducting operations to ensure maritime security and strengthen regional maritime stability."

These ships are most likely to participate in the Ukrainian-NATO Sea Breeze 2018 exercises, which began on July 9 in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. They involved 19 states, approximately 30 ships and more than two thousand military personnel, as well as aircraft. The purpose of these exercises is to develop tasks related to the planning and conduct of operations at sea in accordance with NATO standards.

And, as if in response to Sea Breeze, on the same day, July 9th, exercises started in which three regiments of military transport aviation from the Rostov, Pskov and Orenburg regions take part. Russian pilots are practicing long-distance movement of manpower and cargo.

The fear of the Britons is understandable: Britain is an island, and if an underwater nuclear charge is detonated near the coast of Scotland, even a twenty-meter wave will wash away all the Britons, like fleas.
