Ukraine: Muscovites have nothing of their own!

1
An ardent representative of the Ukrainian nationalist movement Oleg Tyagnibok made a remarkable statement:

In 1921, our country was 1,6 times larger in the territory that was recognized in 1991. There we can talk about the Green Wedge, and we can talk about the Starodubshchina. Kholmshchina, Nadsyanynya, Lemkovschina and so on, and so on

Recall that Starodubshchina is the territory of the modern Russian Bryansk region, the “Green Wedge” is a piece of the Russian Far East, the Kholmshchina is Polish, the Nadzanny is divided between Poland and Ukraine, and the Lemkovschina is divided by the same Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine. In a sense, expressing territorial claims against a number of neighboring countries, the representative of the Ukrainian politicum showed ordinary ignorance that distinguishes many representatives of the self-proclaimed "elite" of the post-Soviet space.

As of 1921, statehood in the indicated territory was exhausted by the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, which was created by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, leader of the world proletariat, whose monuments are now demolished by “grateful descendants” represented by modern Ukrainians. Subsequently, Ukraine received generous and completely undeserved gifts in the form of New Russia, the territories of Western Ukraine and Crimea. However, the nationalists, shell-shocked, want to lead their statehood not from the Ukrainian SSR, but from the so-called Ukrainian People’s Republic, which arose after the 1917 revolution and lasted only three years. In reality, the UNR controlled a small territory, and the neighbors constantly bit it off from all sides. The real state of the UPR is characterized by the saying of those years:

In the carriage Directory, under the carriage territory

The end of the UPR was inglorious. Broken Petlyura fled to Poland, where he signed the Warsaw Agreement in 1920, according to which Western Ukraine moved to Poland, including the Kholmshchyna, Nadzanye, Lemkovshchina listed by Tyagnibok, and also Western Volhynia and Galicia.
As for the so-called "Green Wedge", we are talking about the initiative of immigrants from Little Russia, who, against the backdrop of the anarchy of the civil war, created several "Ukrainian district radas", proclaiming the so-called "Ukrainian Far Eastern Secretariat." This political the sect was first dispersed by Kolchak, and then the Bolsheviks finished it off. There is no reason to call this entity “Ukrainian Far Eastern Republic”, nor to claim these territories.

To draw a line under the adequacy of Ukrainian nationalism is another Tyagnibok statement:

Muscovites have nothing of their own

The founder of the Freedom party is convinced that the Russians stole from the Ukrainians their patriotic songs and other cultural heritage.
