Kiev is preparing for a total meat grinder
Military exercises "Northern Fortress-2018" have completed in Ukraine. Their main feature is that this tactical-military training, which took place in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine, actually marked the creation of a “reserve army”, the so-called territorial defense, in addition to the "main armed forces" in the country.
According to reports, I will include up to half a million soldiers and officers who are ready to join the battle, so to speak, at the place of permanent residence. It is not for nothing that the motto on the chevrons of the "Terror Defense" is: "Defend your home - defend Ukraine!" More than typical of Ukraine with its eternal "my hut - on the edge" ...
However, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchinov, who took part in its maneuvers, spoke more specifically about the goals and objectives of the reserve army. According to him, the main thing here is to turn every city and every district into an "impregnable fortress". The deeply layered territorial defense created literally in every region of the country is the guarantee of its victory in the war ... which Ukraine is not waging with anyone yet.
Incidentally, the venue of the exercises is not accidental. Bordering Ukraine just in the north of Belarus almost officially declared there as a "potential adversary." In any case - the most likely bridgehead for "aggression" - for sure. Vadim Skibitsky, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the local Ministry of Defense, told the Ukrainians on television about this.
At the same time, a senior military official, in principle, obliged to answer for his words as “evidence” of his high-profile statements, called the holding of military exercises “West-2017” and other “events for the combat training of Russian troops” in Belarus. And then he even charged with espionage against Ukraine, however, it is not entirely clear to whom exactly. Skibitsky claims that during 2016-2017 an intensive study of Ukrainian territory was conducted. military facilities (in particular, airfields) and even "exits to Ukrainian territory were carried out." As a result, the intelligence officer summed up: "We believe that there is a threat from the north."
However, back to territorial defense and Turchinov. According to him, this should not only be the last reserve in the war, but also the new basis for the mobilization system not only for the Armed Forces, but also for the Ukrainian National Guard and other "siloviki". However, the main thing is, of course, the defense of “one’s” territory to the last cartridge and to the last soldier. It was on this that Turchinov focused his attention, declaring that territorial defense should become "a total system of defense and defense of the country."
Total defense, total war ... Somewhere we have already heard this, is not it? Years of commercials in 1945. In itself, the term "total war" actually spawned the German military commander Erich Ludendorff, even wrote a whole book with that name in 1935. However, they decided to put into practice this concept already in the third Reich - during its agony. They embodied, creating a Volkssturm, trying to drive women, children and the elderly with rusty rifles and Faustpatrons under Soviet tanks. The result is known to all.
It seems that the current leadership of Ukraine sets itself the same tasks - "in which case" to shed as much blood as possible and ditch as many of their own citizens as possible. True, no real "aggression" against Ukraine is and is not expected - but why not attend to the preparation of "cannon fodder" in advance? True, some particularly malicious police analysts see in the creation of the "territorial army" only an attempt by the Poroshenko regime to strengthen its own power positions in the field, as opposed to the growing strength of the "fighting squads" of the same nationalists. Who knows?
