Russia may emerge victorious in US war with China
The trade war, which a few weeks ago seemed impossible, began. Trump, breaking the preliminary agreement with Beijing, imposed a 25% duty against Chinese goods. The Middle Kingdom did not stand aside and took almost mirror-like measures in relation to US exports. Now in both countries there are unoccupied market segments and niches that other countries can fill.
For example, our country can compete for the soybean market. The fact is that the United States is the largest producer of these legumes in the world, and China is their largest importer. Russia does not yet have sufficient capacity to cover all the need for this product in China, but soybean exports from our country break new records every year.
The same can be said about hydrocarbon energy resources. It is likely that Beijing will impose additional duties, or even a complete ban on the import of American oil and liquefied natural gas. In this case, Russia will be able to quickly increase the supply of gas and oil products to China.
