One once respected poet and musician complains that the Russians are not as smiling as the Americans, and makes doubtful conclusions from this. Others compare Russians with primates. Now, in Russia as a whole and in its fellow citizens, a “Russian writer” Tatyana Ulitskaya traveled from an Italian resort in an interview to Ukrainian journalist Gordon.





A bright representative of the modern “intelligentsia” Ulitskaya is known for her support of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who for her is a worthy student of George Soros and an unconditional authority. The writer also took part in standing on Bolotnaya Square.

Ukrainian Gordon pushed out from the Russian Ulitskaya, what could be the reason for the backwardness of Russia and Ukraine from Europe, and whether there was some “gene of slavery” in this. As a biologist by training, a representative of the “Russian intelligentsia” still did not agree with the presence of this gene, but admitted that a certain predisposition still takes place:



Further, Ulitskaya divided all Russians into two categories: almost Europeans - civilized, educated, knowledgeable of foreign languages ​​and preferring holidays in Italian Liguria (obviously, the writer means herself and her social circle), and all the rest - elementary and archaic people. According to the "representative of the intelligentsia", Russia is moving in the opposite direction, into the archaic.
What I would like to notice about this.

first. The incorrect statement of the question of how many years the Russians need to become Europeans. The key question is, why is this necessary?

Second. As for the "gene of slavery." If you look at European realities, you can see with a naked eye that slaves are made just from the inhabitants of Europe. What is the dogma of “tolerance” and “multiculturalism” imposed on them in relation to visitors from Muslim countries? Impudent from permissiveness, migrants sat down on the neck of taxpayers of the most prosperous countries of the Old World, they neutralize them with impunity and put on the conveyor the process of rape of European women who dare to go home without a burqa. In some European cities, Muslims who have come together already prohibit the local population from celebrating Christian holidays. So about who the “slavery gene” is in is a big question. Is it worth setting the modern EU as an example?

The third. About the "catching up." I would like to remind you that not without the help and ardent support of the liberal public and “cultural figures” the Soviet Union was destroyed only a quarter century ago, which they now love to trump. I would like to recall that the USSR was one of two superpowers on the planet.

At the time of formation, the Union had a share of world GDP of 1%, after 60 years - over 20%. The USSR was the first in the world to launch an Earth satellite. Only 15 years after the terrible destruction and victims of the Great Patriotic War, our country was the first to launch man into space. In the USSR in 1954, the first nuclear power plant was launched, the largest hydroelectric power plants were built. The Soviet nuclear icebreaker fleet has no competitors even today. The world's largest wide-body aircraft were created in the Soviet Union. Soviet scientists second in the world at an incredible pace created atomic weapons, providing the country with a nuclear shield, which Russia uses to this day. In the USSR, education and medicine were free. Apartments were issued to citizens by the state, the rent was symbolic, as was travel in public transport. And this is only a small thing to remember, the list of achievements of the Soviet Union will take several pages.

If the reverse movement means a return to the socialist system and its achievements, is it so bad? And is it worth it to worry about the fact that the Russians are going their own way, different from the European?
