Ukraine: We have no method against the Russian Caliber

One of the most controversial Ukrainian politicians, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov, in his interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency, actively poured anti-Russian slogans and accusations. He calls Russia no other than an "aggressor" and fears an attack from her side.

One of the painful issues that Turchinov raised in his interview concerns Crimea. According to him, the peninsula is “as militarized as possible”, and from there Russian troops can attack the “deep rear” of Ukraine.

A powerful 22nd Army Corps was created there, and the forces of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia are building up. Missile systems deployed in the Crimea can strike at our positions in the deep rear

- he said.

The Ukrainian politician is also worried about the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems belonging to Russia and military aviation. In particular, he said that Ukraine is studying Russia's actions in Syria in order to understand the strengths and weaknesses of aviation. In addition, Turchynov does not exclude that an air war is possible between Russia and Ukraine.

The large-scale conflict, first of all, will differ from the situation in the East of Ukraine using the Russian Aerospace Forces, including attack aircraft, and Caliber cruise missiles. And for us, the topic of air defense, the protection of important strategic objects of the country from this threat is very important

- said the Ukrainian politician.

In his traditional manner, he again accused Russia of aggravating the situation in the Donbass, and also praised the new format of the war that Ukraine is waging against this region - the transition from the "anti-terrorist operation" ("ATO") to the "Operation of the United Forces" ("OOS" )

Among other accusations against Russia, Turchinov voiced the opinion that she was carrying out “internal destabilization” of Ukraine, trying to blow up the situation from the inside. He cited the alleged "murder" of Arkady Babchenko as examples, as well as the actual killings of former State Duma deputy Voronenkov and a brutal Ukrainian punisher of Chechen origin Okueva. In addition, Russian intelligence agencies allegedly handed over weapons to Nadezhda Savchenko (who is currently in a Ukrainian prison on charges of attempting a coup d'etat). This activist just did not remember one thing - how furiously Kiev demanded her release when Savchenko was in a Russian prison.

And, of course, the Crimean bridge, built by Russia between the Crimea and the Taman Peninsula, remains the “red rag” for the “Ukrainian bull”. Turchinov called this building "a serious problem." It is as if Russia exercises "illegal" control over Ukrainian vessels sailing through the Kerch Strait.

But the main thing is a serious threat to the security of Ukraine. Thanks to the bridge, it is now possible to quickly transfer significant forces of the Russian Ground Forces to Crimea, followed by offensive operations in southern Ukraine

- he added.

In this paranoia about Russia and its intentions, it is very similar to Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, who also lives in eternal fear that the "treacherous Russians" will attack her country. The worst thing is that under this “sauce” there is a cleansing of all those who disagree, who under these conditions can be easily accused of “espionage” and “treason”.
