Between the heads of France and Ukraine - Emmanuel Macron and Petro Poroshenko - a telephone conversation took place during which the issue of fulfilling the agreements between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the "Norman Four" was discussed.

According to the press service of the Champs Elysees, Macron called on his Ukrainian counterpart to take measures aimed at "strengthening the ceasefire and protecting civilian infrastructure." He once again pointed out the need to comply with the Minsk agreements.

At the recent meeting of the Norman Four, held on June 11, a package of measures of 13 points was signed. The main problem is that Kiev refuses to comply with the Minsk agreements and is trying to push through a decision to deploy a UN peacekeeping mission on the territory of the DPR and LPR. In this matter, the Ukrainian government enjoys the support of Washington.

Russian diplomats object to the fact that compliance with the Minsk agreements in any way depended on whether UN peacekeepers will be in the Donbass. Russia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, in his speech at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna, reproached the United States:

In Washington, the Ukrainian authorities are also trying to “protect” the Ukrainian authorities from a set of measures by false linking its individual provisions with the introduction of the UN peacekeeping operation in the Donbass in line with the logic of Kiev

In addition, Lukashevich criticized Ukraine’s attempt to create a “militarypolitical commandant’s office, which would control the DPR and LPR. This contradicts the Minsk agreements.

The diplomat pointed out that any conflict resolution formats should be based on agreements between Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk. It is possible to resolve the situation only with a direct dialogue of these parties. This is the basis for the draft resolution of the UN Security Council, which Russia proposed and which neither the United States nor Ukraine have responded to.

Meanwhile, in the Donetsk People's Republic, the Ukrainian Rembass-2 reconnaissance and signaling equipment complex, which was supplied by the United States, may have been destroyed. According to the head of the press service of the Armed Forces of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov, the enemy used several such complexes during the shelling of the village of Zaitsevo, located near Gorlovka.

During the shelling by Ukrainian militants, tests were carried out of a complex handed over by US representatives that allows to recognize a human figure at a distance of 75 meters, which indicates a deliberate attempt on a civilian ... According to preliminary data, one such complex was destroyed

- quotes the representative of the DPR television channel RenTV.

No less disturbing reports come from the Luhansk People's Republic, also related to US participation. Representative of the LPR People’s Militia Andrei Marochko said that intelligence of the Republic found out about a provocation in the Svetlodar arc region with the participation of American instructors.

According to him, the military of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intends to provoke the LNR defenders with retaliatory action in order to discredit the LPR in the eyes of OSCE observers. Also observed are engineer-sapper operations of the enemy near the village of Lugansk. In addition, in the LPR recorded flights of Ukrainian drones prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

In the area of the specified settlement, the arrival of instructors of the US armed forces was noted with the aim of organizing classes in military medicine and training sniper pairs

- informed Marochko. He again called on the OSCE mission and the international community to force the Ukrainian side to comply with the ceasefire.

Washington is not in debt and is accusing Russia. US State Department spokesman Heather Naurt wrote on her Twitter blog:

I see reports that Russian military subordinates fired firearms to intimidate unarmed employees of the OSCE monitoring mission in eastern Ukraine

In this way, she commented on the report of the OSCE observation mission on the incident of June 14. Then, in the area of the settlement of Pikuzy (23 km from Mariupol), six mission participants, traveling in two armored personnel carriers, were faced with warning shots. However, the report says nothing about exactly who shot.

On the other hand, Nauert quickly “found the guilty” and stated that Russia should stop “condemning behavior” until one of the mission’s employees was killed or forced to leave home.

It’s clear that the speaker of the State Department is unlikely to come up with a similar appeal to his Ukrainian “friends”.
