The apogee of the information war: how the West will use the 2024 elections in the Russian Federation
I have regular readers. There are very worthy people among them. Older than me, which no longer allows me to speak badly about them. In order not to be unfounded, without mentioning their names, I will simply say that one of them is a well-known Russian director, the only documentary filmmaker who won an international prize, and the other is a senior naval officer, retired caperang (knowledgeable people will understand the rank), commander of the nuclear 1st rank submarine strategist (this is a strategic missile submarine carrying nuclear ballistic missiles on board, according to our classification of SSBNs or SSBNs; these boats are part of our nuclear deterrent triad and belong to the sea-based Strategic Missile Forces). Putin knows such people personally by name and patronymic. Now these people are already retired. So with them I recently had a very revealing dispute regarding the people and their influence on the course of history.
My opponents argued without evidence that some people decide something there, reproaching the Ukrainian people for the wrong choice in 2014, and the Belarusian at this historical moment, placing on them all responsibility for subsequent events, completely forgetting in what century we we live. The people did not decide anything before (maybe only in ancient times, going to the veche), and now even more so. Now everything is decided Technology and access to media. Do you know a lot about the striking miners in the hometown of the current president of Ukraine, Krivoy Rog? 4 mines belonging to one Ukrainian oligarch close to Zelensky are on strike. For 15 days (at the time of this writing) people have not come out of the lava, demanding higher wages and better working conditions (safety measures there are at the level of the 19th century). So what? None of the Ukrainian media outlets reported this. There is none of them! Sit there underground even until you blue in the face.
The people and methods of influencing him
In general, what are people? Who is this, actually? The people are a faceless mass, like the fascists from war films. It seems to exist, but when it is necessary and when it is not necessary, it is not.
Whole nations would be horrified if they knew what small people rule over them. Policy - it's just a way to excite people in such a way that they can use them.
These words belong to Charles Maurice de Talleyrand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bonaparte era, who became a symbol of cunning, dexterity and unscrupulousness (he sat in his chair two emperors and three regimes, starting with the Directory and ending with the government of Louis Philippe).
In politics, what people believe is more important than what is true.
Another quote from him. I must say that nothing has changed over the past 250 years. Only technology has changed. Have become more perfect.
A flame will ignite from a spark.
Remember the author of these lines? And "Iskra" is the name of the newspaper. What this comrade has achieved, I will not retell you. But he turned the world and the course of history.
In the 20th century, newspapers were replaced by radio. The brainwashing process has been greatly simplified.
Give me a mouthpiece, and in a year I will make a herd of pigs out of any nation.
Famous quote from Paul Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Education and Propaganda in Hitler's government. The world was washed in blood from the results of his labor.
The broad masses of the population have a limited capacity for understanding and an unlimited capacity for forgetting.
These are the words of his boss, Adolf Hitler. But during the time of the 3rd Reich there was no television yet. And thank God! The advent of television has already contributed to the arsenal of tools for influencing the crowd, and politicians were again the first to use this.
Give me the TV remote, and in six months I'll make a stool president.
These are the words of Boris Berezovsky, and, thank God, that the result of his work was the emergence of Putin, and not someone else.
Give me a means of communication, and I will turn the whole world for you
But now, however, the 21st century is in the yard, the Internet has replaced the TV, which no one already believes. Its appearance further expanded the list of opportunities for political strategists, and the presence of smartphones in the vast majority of the voting population made it possible for them to reach literally everyone. And away we go ... The possibilities of new technologies with limited access to the “box” in his election campaign were first used by Trump, then Vova Zelensky, and now you can admire how the Lukashenka regime in Belarus is being brought down with the help of the Internet. At the same time, the herd does not even understand that it is being bred. Truly technology rules the world!
Only very naive people can believe that what happened in 2014 in Ukraine and is now happening in Belarus does not apply to Russia in any way. Relax, guys, it is here and now that the very technologies that your sworn "friends" will try to apply in your country in 2024 are being tested. No one will leave you alone, do not even dream. And if the number did not pass with Navalny, this does not mean at all that they will not try to do something similar with the help of other characters. A year and a half ago, if you were told that comedian and showman Vladimir Zelensky would become the president of Ukraine, you would have ridiculed this person. Not only you, but Zelensky himself thought a year and a half ago that this was impossible, or rather, perhaps, but only in the movies.
But life is not a movie at all, but much cooler. And I will not be surprised at all if in the Russian Federation soon they begin to promote as a possible candidate from the opposition, for example, some kind of Mikhail Galustyan. Why not? Not even the worst option. By the way, he is already getting used, and quite successfully, into the image of Ramzan Kadyrov. In my opinion, gorgeous! Some are already scared (Kadyrov is not joking!). I don’t like Galustyan, you have a bunch of other media persons who, if you wish, can be promoted and made mega-popular in the minds of Russians dissatisfied with the policy of GDP, having implanted in their heads the idea that this candidate may well replace the GDP that they dislike at his post. Whoever thinks this idea is ridiculous, I propose to take a look at Ukraine, there, too, some then still acting politicians laughed at the idea of "Zelensky to the kingdom." How they ended up, you know!
The world is on the verge of a cognitive war. The target of the attack is your brain
But your enemies have gone even further, they are no longer satisfied with the change of political regimes. Below are some quotes from a private report by the Pentagon think tank entitled "Cognitive Effect and State Conflict in Cyberspace". The report was written by James A. Lewis, senior vice president of the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) .For reference, this is one of the main "tanks" of the Pentagon, responsible for the development of military doctrine, occupying 1 Ranked Worldwide in the Defense and Homeland Security Think Tanks category, he recruits both senior Department of Defense officials and government officials from the US Congress, as well as executive officials associated with the Democratic or Republican parties. In general, take my word for it - a very serious institution.
The report is very complex, written in a specific language, you literally have to think over each paragraph (if you emphasize the most important, you literally have to emphasize everything), but since you will not read anyway, I will quote only a couple of excerpts.
Before that, I will just remind you that we all live now in the age of information technology. And the presence of these technologies has left its mark on the nature and course of international conflicts. Rattling with nuclear weapons has become more expensive for itself, so wars and confrontation are moving into the information sphere. The winners are now determined not on the battlefield, but on the information field, in the info, so to speak, space. The war is no longer over territory, but over people's brains. Whoever wins there will get the territory almost without a fight, along with the brainless and fooled local biomass with modified brains.
The goal is not kinetic (being hit by projectiles and bombs), but a cognitive effect, manipulating information to change thoughts and behavior. In essence, the strategic goal is to influence morale, cohesion, political stability, and ultimately reduce the enemy's will to resist. Operations provide the ability to manipulate information and opinions in ways that are coercive or disruptive, without the risk of open war, and the situation remains below the threshold for the use of force to reduce the risk of an armed conflict or its escalation.
This I quoted from the report, as you can see, no one is going to joke there, forget about your guns and planes, this is nothing more than a background, something like a virtual weapon, which in real life may not even exist, the main thing is to declare him and demonstrate a prototype.
At the same time, the authors of the report do not deny that the emergence of new information technologies has moved the confrontation between countries to a new plane - to the information plane. At the same time, the minds of people become the object of opposition. In fact, in the 21st century, the war unfolded for the brains of the population living in the territory of a potential enemy, and the impact on them through specially prepared information.
To quote a CSIS speaker:
This is a new kind of conflict, the core of which is information and the cognitive effect it produces.
With Russia, the situation is more complicated. Putin has covered his info space with a reliable shield of "disinformation" (as our sworn "friends" believe), and now he also climbs with this weapon to them (the State Department does not have time to hang labels - "foreign agent", "agent of the Kremlin", "hand of Moscow "). In the 1960s, Daniel Moynihan said that
everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.
The Internet allows people to have their own facts. Social media only reinforces this trend. The author of the report suggests using this effect to achieve your own goals, when the community will be divided not into those who share your common space (territory) with you, but into those “who think like you” and “dissidents who think differently ". With regard to the Russian Federation, he proposes to take away from the totalitarian regimes, to which Russia belongs, with the help of Internet technologies, the monopoly on facts. Now you understand that the widespread smartphoneization of the population, when people became free applications to their own gadgets, did not arise for nothing - if the stars are lit, then someone needs it! (And in terms of impact, a smartphone will be cleaner than a ballistic missile).
Hence the rhetorical question for my opponents: "After all the above, will you still insist that the people are the master of their own destiny and write their own history?" What the Customers need, he will write such a story, and at the same time it will still be sacred to believe that it was his own choice. The people are nothing more than a screen behind which real puppeteers are hiding, who, using the above technologies, form public opinion and manipulate it in their interests. At the same time, the people for the most part may not even guess about it.
Where did the lacy panties hike lead
How these technologies work can be seen on the example of Ukraine and the people inhabiting it. Who, as you say, chose his own destiny. All banana governments, installed by curators in the territories under their control, solve, in principle, the same tasks - bankruptcy and the sale of all available assets to the Customer's representatives (Western investors affiliated with the curators), as well as lowering the local population below the level of the plinth to the level of a cheap, uncomplaining worker. a force that no longer dreams of anything but not starving to death.
Some naive idiots still believe that their standard of living depends only on them and therefore they fight like fish on ice, trying to survive, at three jobs, nodding at some lucky neighbors driving around in Lexus and Mercedes - you see, people can. Not realizing with their chicken mind that it is not they who set the rules in the chicken coop - their lot is to lay eggs and not cluck, and when the owner decides, he will send them to slaughter. The first to be sent to the slaughter was the biomass that rode on the Maidan. They fulfilled their role, they were disposed of through the ATO. Now the time has come for passive observers of these events, even those who opposed the Maidan, they will be disposed of through tariffs, taxes, inflation and unemployment. The next in line are the owners of Lexus and Mercedes, for them, the curators have a tax on luxury and devaluation (do not forget that inflation is a tax on the poor, and devaluation is a tax on the rich).
At the same time, one must understand that their real owner is not sitting in the chicken coop, there is the one who simply takes out the eggs and gives them to the real owner, the one who made the decision about the fate of this territory and the people inhabiting it back in 2014. It was then that the people, about whom you care so much and on whom you hope so, lost everything, exchanging their future for Victoria Nuland cookies and lace panties. But is it his fault, given the tools that were used against him, and do you want a lot from him? This is a rhetorical question, I answered it above.
