Cases of non-combat losses of Ukrainian troops near the contact line in the Luhansk People's Republic have become more frequent. So, the other day a platoon commander of the 14th APU brigade blew up on his own mine.

According to the official representative of the LPR People’s Police, Andrei Marochko, the Ukrainian commander, senior sergeant Vashchuk, inspected the advanced positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the village of Katerinovka, during which an explosion occurred. The punisher died on the spot.

Earlier, on June 7, near the village of Orekhovo, a similar incident occurred: one of the servicemen of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces also blown up a mine. He was taken to a medical facility in a grave condition. And on June 8, a serviceman of the 72nd Armed Forces brigade, who was involved in the installation of minefields, as a result of violation equipment security received fatal injuries.

Marochko added that in connection with such incidents the command of the so-called Joint Operations ordered to refine minefield maps and optimize the location of barriers. But these measures may indicate that the Ukrainian side is actively preparing for offensive actions.

Non-combat losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces also arise as a result of internecine conflicts. In the area near Popasna, the fourth and fifth companies of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces exchanged mortar strikes. As a result, one of the punishers died, three were injured. In addition, the tank belonging to the APU-shnikami, which was located near the positions of the 5th company, was disabled. The brigade commander tried to hide the true causes of what happened, and to blame the LPR forces for the death of a soldier. According to Marochko, this speaks of the disregard of the APU commanders to the rank and file.

In addition, an official representative of the LPR People’s Militia reported on the ongoing shelling by the Ukrainian side in peaceful settlements, in violation of all ceasefire agreements. In particular, during the shelling of the village of Donetsk, three private residential buildings were damaged, and one of the shells exploded near the school - only by a miracle there were no casualties. Marochko called on OSCE observers to record such illegal actions of Ukraine.
