“Putin made clear what will happen to Ukraine in the event of an attack on the Donbass”

The World Cup is approaching, during which, as many analysts suggest, Ukraine can decide on a large-scale attack on the territory of the DPR and LPR. This was repeatedly spoken about in Kiev itself, which nurtures in dreams a "Croatian scenario" of reprisals against the defenders of Donbass and civilians.

Alarm messages come from the Luhansk People's Republic. So, the official representative of the LPR People’s Police Andrei Marochko told reporters that the Ukrainian side is increasing the number of military equipment near the line of contact. He cited intelligence, according to which on June 11, the Ukrainian military of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade received rocket-artillery weapons and ammunition for small arms from warehouses. This happened in the area of Severodonetsk. And near the village of Grechishino in a forest belt there is a large number of tanks and artillery pieces. This technique is carefully hidden from the drones of the OSCE observation mission.

In addition, according to Marochko, in the Popasnyansky district, near the village of Vrubovka, 12 kilometers from the front line, there is another accumulation of military equipment prohibited by the Minsk agreements. This is the artillery system "Msta-B" caliber 152 mm.

He urged OSCE observers to take this information into account and intensify monitoring of Ukrainian forces in order to record the fact of the concentration of prohibited weapons near the contact line.

On the one hand, both in the DPR and in the LPR have repeatedly said and are saying that Ukraine is gathering strength. On the other hand, in Kiev, far from everyone shares the cap-and-seeker sentiment of particularly ardent supporters of a full-scale war. The main concern is not even the resistance of the DPR and LPR armies, but the possible reaction of Russia.

The senior officer of the headquarters of the operation of the United Forces (now the punitive operation against Donbass is called just that, instead of “ATO”), who refused to give his name, shared his thoughts with the Strana.ua website. He is confident that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently not able to conduct military operations against Russia. Neither the state nor the army will simply “pull out” such a war. The officer also believes that his country does not have enough military contingent for fighting on the borders of the Kharkov, Chernihiv, Sumy regions.

Ukraine simply does not have so many combat-ready units to conduct full-fledged battles with Russia

- he said.

Ukraine really needs to keep in mind that Russia will not remain indifferent in the event of a full-scale attack on the position of the People’s Republics. Especially after the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, warned Kiev against such a move.

It should be recalled that during the recent “Direct Line”, in response to a question by the famous writer Zakhar Prilepin regarding the Donbass, Putin said that it would hardly come to such provocations. If Ukraine tries to carry out the offensive, it will have “very grave consequences for Ukrainian statehood.”

Today, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov once again confirmed the words of the head of state.

Putin is extremely clear about his thoughts and says what he has in mind. Therefore, it is said here unambiguously. The question from Zakhar Prilepin was what would happen if Ukraine takes advantage of the World Cup and decides to strike in the Donbass, again unleash a bloody and fratricidal war. President Putin answered very unequivocally

- said Peskov.
