Ukrainian flag over Sevastopol: Russia cooled the ardor of Poroshenko

1
From the mouth of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko made another unrealistic statement about Sevastopol. On the eve of City Day, Pyotr Alekseevich decided to "congratulate" the Sevastopol residents and did so in his usual manner: by promising that the Ukrainian flag would fly over the outpost of Russian sailors.

The glorious descendant of ancient Khersones, the heroic Sevastopol is a Ukrainian city. I have no doubt that the Ukrainian flag will be raised above Sevastopol and the Ukrainian anthem will be sounded

- He said on his page on the social network Twitter.

However, Russian policy, and ordinary citizens not only criticize Poroshenko’s words, but also openly ridicule them. So, the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmitry Belik, elected from Sevastopol, noted that never in this city did residents adhere to pro-Ukrainian positions, and he had no future with Ukraine. And Poroshenko, according to him, is far from Sevastopol - "both mentally and spiritually, and physically."

The deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladislav Ganzhara in an interview with RT said that the Ukrainian flag over Sevastopol or the entire peninsula, Mr. Poroshenko “can only dream about.” But in reality, under no circumstances will this happen. In Kiev, according to him, the record got stuck, and even in the West, many of them are already tired of such rhetoric of Ukrainian politicians.

Only in the sick fantasies of Ukrainian politicians does Crimea have at least some legal relation to Ukraine

- emphasized Ganzhara.

The deputy head of the Crimean government, Dmitry Polonsky, believes that Poroshenko makes such statements because his fellow citizens are watching in Ukraine economic fall, and you have to look for ways to turn the attention of society.

This is such a drunk dream of a Ukrainian politician. Sevastopol and Crimea were, are and will be the territory of Russia. And other flags besides the Russian one will never appear here

- added the Crimean politician.

Member of the Federation Council from Sevastopol Olga Timofeeva held a kind of educational program for Mr. Poroshenko, recalling that this city was founded by the Russian Empire. According to her, Sevastopol has always been a "Russian outpost on the Black Sea", and now it "moored in its native harbor."

And users of social networks openly ridicule Poroshenko and his statement. He is advised to personally come to Sevastopol with the flag of Ukraine and observe the reaction of local residents. Or they even give such advice: "You would have drunk less, Petro."

Moreover, the Ukrainian president, reveling in his pipe dream, was mistaken even with the date of City Day. Sevastopol celebrates its holiday not on June 9, but on June 14.

But didn’t he imagine the Russian flag in the future over half of the former Ukraine?
