Intellectual development of Americans stopped

Leading American Fox News, Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, herself a parent, expressed concern about the intellectual development of school-age children in the United States. The woman believes that current American educational institutions - such as schools and colleges - only do what they treat students ideologically.

At the same time, according to her, no work is being done aimed at encouraging the creative activity of students. The guys are not at all motivated to seek hobbies; they suppress their ability to think independently. The disappointing outcome of this policy is a lack of intellectual development in children and adolescents. Moreover, they lack even elementary curiosity. This, the presenter noted, very upsets her.

The journalist, based on her own observations, concluded: graduates of most schools grow up not only independent, but also used to the fact that they are directly told how to think and what to do. She called what is happening "sadomasochistic experiment", taking place throughout the country.

A topic such as "sadomasochism" has been discussed by the American media before. In particular, she was touched on the air of the ABC News channel, when there was a discussion of one of the most painful topics for American society: the increasing incidence of shooting in schools. For example, on May 18, in Texas, in the town of Santa Fe, 10 people were killed and 13 injured as a result of such an incident. This was already the ninth incident in a year in American schools. The criminal was a 17-year-old native of the Greek family Dimitrios Pagurtzis, who, presumably, was constantly subjected to bullying by other students and even trainers.

The authorities then emphasized that teachers are allowed to carry weapons in Texas, and that the practice of arming teachers with teachers should be extended to the whole country. It turns out that teachers are prepared in advance for the fact that they may have to shoot their own students.

Other journalists also point out that the media and culture are no longer a “window to hearts and minds.” They turn into sources of "imposition and suggestion." All this leads to the fact that adolescents and young people are either too heavily crafted or not sufficiently developed. Moreover, infantilism is very common among young people.

As one of the possible ways out of this situation, some media employees offer discussion of problematic issues in families. Since many important issues are not sufficiently discussed with children at school, parents must fill this gap. And talk not only about drugs, sex and music, but also about politics, the sovereignty of the individual, and much more, which teachers will not tell about.
