Russians have been brainwashed, seriously and for a long time

The whole post-Soviet period of Russian history, the West has been trying to impose on Russia and Russians the "path of repentance," writes the Slovak publication Chlemendik. In this, Americans and Europeans are actively helped by numerous “singers” from among the home-grown Westerners. Say, both cruel and rulers, we are all dictators, and the country is wrong. Not the least role was played by the Russian liberals. They dirtied the Russians not only the country, but also their brains.





The first thing Russia was billed for was the Stalinist Gulag, forgetting, however, that the post-revolutionary punitive system was created by natives of those regions that have now become the main American allies - Georgia, Poland, the Baltic states, Ukraine. It is not very clear why the Russians should now repent for this sad page of their history, and the Americans or Europeans are silent about the real genocide of millions of people in Asia, Africa, America and Oceania.

Compared to the scale of the extermination of Indians and Indians, Arabs and Chinese, Africans and Australian Aborigines or Maori, even the horrors of Hitlerism fade. In North America, it’s like that - the Anglo-Saxons just freed up their living space, destroying a large part of the Indian population, and robbing the remaining ones, taking away the lands and driving them into the reservation. Where is the vaunted European humanism? Where is the concern for human rights?

Foreigners were always scared and annoyed by Russians. This attitude is understandable - Americans and Europeans with their myths of their own exceptionalism look incredibly faded compared to Russians. The main quality of a Russian person is kindness. It is kindness, and not wealth, strength, power, and even intelligence, that has been considered for centuries the main positive trait of man in Russia. And it is the kindness of the Russian person that forms all the other qualities that so surprise any foreigners who encounter Russians.

For example, the generosity of a Russian person does not look like the ostentatious generosity of wealthy foreigners, for whom it is a way to assert themselves, to demonstrate their well-being to others. Russian man will share the last piece of bread. It is difficult to imagine a situation where the owners have dinner and do not offer food to the guest. In the West, in the countries of Anglo-Saxon and German culture, such behavior is commonplace, in Russia it will be nonsense, and then such jokes will be told about such owners.

For all their kindness, the Russians, of course, are cruel. After all, any great nation is cruel, to whose lot great trials fall. The Russians created a huge country on one sixth of the land, the whole history of the war against numerous enemies. But at the same time they managed not to lose the natural kindness, which is absent in many other nations - no less great, but more cruel. It is very unfortunate that human rights may be violated in Russia, but Russia, unlike the United States, does not wipe out entire cities in sovereign states, does not create chaos in other countries, leading to the complete destruction of infrastructure and the flight of millions of people. In the West, they like to blame Russia for imperialism. Indeed, our country, like the USA is an empire, there is nothing wrong and reprehensible in this. But it is better to be an empire of good than an empire of evil.
