Six reasons to love Russia

The image of Russia and Russians, as a rule, is formed in the representation of foreigners by the efforts of Western propaganda. The media, cinema, talk shows and so on work for him. In this regard, it is interesting to see how some foreign journalists who have been working in Russia for a long time describe our country in a positive way. Correspondent of the Finnish broadcasting company, Yle correspondent Cherstin Krunvall tells his readers about six reasons to love Russia, as she did.

Russian people. The journalist very much appreciates in Russia sincere hospitality, which she considers one of the best features. Russians know how to make the meeting fun and enjoyable. Russians can quickly quarrel over a trifle and make peace just as quickly, again becoming bosom friends. Russian men are extremely persistent in communicating with women, periodically asking the question if their mothers should be in-law, but they don’t go that far. In large Russia there is no single correct “Russianness”, in different regions all Russians are different.

Russian folklore. Russians like to joke, tell jokes and quote winged expressions from films. Once a journalist from Finland had the imprudence to dine in an expensive restaurant and, seeing the bill, felt ill. The waiter assured her that she would have to pay, but to the place he told her a joke about the man who asked him to feed him as soon as possible in the restaurant before it started. When the man from the joke ate, they brought him the bill and he thoughtfully held out: "It has begun." Cherstin Krunvall laughed heartily at Russian humor and paid for the astronomical bill.

Russian language. Our language is not easy for foreigners, but its knowledge opens the door to deep Russian culture. Only in the original can you enjoy the genius of verses by Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and feel the emotional pain of Rodion Raskolnikov. It is enough to learn a few basic expressions to function normally in Russia. Russians, as a rule, are sympathetic to foreigners who sincerely try to communicate with them in Russian, and help them in this.

Russian cities. Our cities are a bizarre combination of Soviet architecture, new buildings and, in some places, pre-revolutionary houses. In the Russian capital, a novice may have a sore neck from trying to look at everything at once. Museum lovers are stopping their feet, trying to get around them all in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Unlike some European countries, in Russia many stores operate around the clock. Russians dress differently, so a foreigner will not look like a black sheep among them.

Russian villages. The Russian countryside provides an opportunity to make a journey into the past, since the village in the regions has not changed much. Those rickety houses with carved shutters, grazing cows and goats, walking geese and fussy hens. Each rural store has its own curious saleswoman who knows everything about everyone. Periodically, local men drop in for vodka and can tell a lot of interesting stories about their fellow villagers.

Russian culture. The cultural life of Russia is very diverse, it is concentrated mainly in Moscow and St. Petersburg, which is considered the cultural capital of Russia. But every city has its own concert halls and palaces of culture. The meeting place of the avid representatives of bohemia is the buffet, where in the interval you can eat sandwiches with cognac. Russian viewers are very sincere: if they don’t like something, they can whistle express their attitude and simply leave the show. Russians have one peculiarity - to sit down on empty seats in the hall, and not on redeemed according to tickets. When the rightful owners of the seats come, a funny change for a foreigner begins in the hall.

Everything is embellished, like the picture))) It is not because of this that we only need to love Russia, but most importantly in Russia, this is our national idea of justice. Nowhere in the world are people fighting for an idea like we do for an idea and a dream of justice.

See how national wealth is distributed in Russian society. And once again think about how we are fighting for justice.

Sergei, they are not "fighting", but we are fighting, I do not think that you are standing on the sidelines and watching. We fight, but each to the best of our strength and capabilities and in different ways. We fought, we fight and we will fight! It's in our blood. He who is not ours does not fight with us.
