In the summer of 2018, tens of thousands of foreign fans will fly to Russia to personally see the matches of the World Cup. Among them there will be many guests from distant and hot Brazil, where not only many, many wild monkeys, but this sport is also very popular. The Brazilian media tried to prepare for their fellow citizens a semblance of a memo on how to behave in Russia, about which in modern Latin America they have a very vague idea.

Residents of Brazil are warned in advance that few Russians, except residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg, are able to speak English, and it will be unrealistic to guess the meaning of the inscriptions in the strange Cyrillic alphabet. Therefore, it is worthwhile to learn a few basic phrases in Russian in advance.

According to Brazilian publications, the main danger in Russia is not street, but cybercrime, apparently due to American allegations of interference in their elections. By the way, according to the UN, in our country crimes against the person are 50% less than in Brazil. They scare future guests of the Russian Federation with the danger of terrorist attacks, but note the high level of professionalism of law enforcement agencies in the fight against such crimes.

Russia is considered a very superstitious country so that the foreign tourist does not get into trouble, the media prepared a number of tips: shake hands, say hello and say goodbye, and in no case over the threshold! Coming to visit from the street you need to take off your shoes and put on tapki, leave in English impolite. Empty bottles should always be placed under the table, money cannot be handed over. You can’t come to visit empty-handed, you can’t also praise the owner’s things, because he will supposedly have to give them to the guest. Emotional Brazilians are recommended to be more restrained in the manifestation of feelings and not to joke about the family.

Lovers of sweets from South America, accustomed to licking a knife after cutting treats, should not do this in Russia. You can’t skip toasts and sit on the corner of the table. Patriotic Russians can expel an unwary tourist from the guests, or even expel them from the country for criticizing the unchanging Vladimir Putin.

The Brazilian interpretation of the saying is a little funny: they are greeted by clothes. It is believed that Russians dress better than they can afford. In order not to face dirt in front of Russian goldfinches, Brazilian citizens are advised to wear the most beautiful and stylish for any occasion.

The most valuable advice will be to be polite with older Russians, to give them a place in the transport and help them carry weights.
