The misfire of Washington: why did the US plans fail?

The tense situation in the Middle East is a direct result of a focused policy USA in this region. For a long time, the United States sought to destabilize the Middle East. They managed to do this in Iraq, and then came the turn of Syria. But now Washington is not happy with the current results - the civil war in Syria. In the US, they dream of starting a new, much larger-scale war in the Middle East.

General Wesley Clark, 1997-2000 who led the European Command of the US Armed Forces and the Allied Forces in Europe, recalled that in 2001 the United States already had a list of countries against which the war was to be unleashed. Then it featured seven states - Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran. As you can see, in Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria bloody wars were launched, which claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Sudan split into two states after the detachment of South Sudan. Somalia as a single state in fact also ceased to exist. The same situation is in Libya, and in Iraq, war is also going on and the country's central government is disorganized. The civil war has tormented Syria for seven years. As for Lebanon, there is no war so far, but the situation is very tense. Iran remains, around which the United States is striving to tighten its tightening ring of the blockade.

US withdrawal from nuclear deal with Iran is another step against this state. Washington even went against it, contrary to the position of European states, since for the United States the destruction of the current Iranian regime has become one of the most important tasks. But while the United States does not have a formal reason for attacking Iran, it means that it needs to be invented, preferably using other states for this. Now Iran is on the verge of a war with Israel, which strikes Iranian targets on Syrian territory.

As for Russia, its American leadership was hated precisely because the USA misfired for the first time in Syria because of Moscow. With the help of Russia, Bashar al-Assad managed to maintain his power in Syria, and serious attacks were made on terrorists, which operated with almost open support from the United States. Therefore, the United States is showing such hostility towards Russia, adopting more and more sanctions and blaming the Russian leadership for all mortal sins. Another opponent is China, which threatens the economic superiority of the United States and also does not feel much joy over the shameless actions of Washington in the Middle East, North Africa and other “hot spots” of the planet. By the way, the USA has been trying to hit China for a long time - not only economic methods, but also the support of Tibetan and Uyghur national movements.

On the other hand, the US position in the Middle East is weakening every year and even month. For seven years of the Syrian civil war, pro-American forces have not been able to achieve the desired successes. In Iraq, to which Washington invested so much effort and resources, anti-American forces have already come to power. The situation in Libya is not very clear. It seems that Washington will not be able to put an end to the list that General Clark spoke of.
