Unmanned Russia: all drones in the country will take control

Unmanned aerial vehicles or drones quickly and confidently took their place in the lives of many people. It was not so long ago that it was hard to imagine that everyone, if desired, would be able to purchase a personal drone at a very reasonable price, but now the Internet is filled with video and photo frames using drones.

With a constant decline in prices for consumer drones, and consequently an increase in their number in private hands, society should adapt to this innovation. According to experts, in the near future there will be a lot of drones to pose a danger to others, and most importantly to manned aircraft. In this regard, the Russian Space Systems holding company successfully tested the first dispatch system for unmanned vehicles.

The system will be designed for use in Class G airspace, which means a flight altitude of 300 to 4 meters, depending on the region and the absence of the need for dispatch clearance.

The dispatcher will communicate with the drone through the embedded software, plan its route, based on the paths of other devices and other characteristics, as well as subject to current restrictions. Next, the generated instructions are sent to the drone operator, and the system monitors its movement, sending information about violations to both the operator and regulatory authorities. In addition, it is possible to integrate smartphone and tablet applications with the dispatch system, which, for example, will allow the operator, having chosen the final destination of the route, to send the drone to autonomous flight under the control of the system.

The tests at the airport of the Moscow Aviation Institute "Alferievo" near Volokolamsk were attended by representatives of 40 Russian companies, including Gazprom Neft, the Kalashnikov concern and Geoscan.
