As often happens, you have to start small. So far we are talking about two things. First and foremost, this is a successful experiment in the freezing, storage and subsequent restoration of the frog’s heart, which was frozen for a month and a half at a temperature of 196 degrees Celsius. This means that now doctors can save donor organs in a frozen state, which in the future will help save a huge number of people.
The second success of our scientists was the development and testing of special complex liquid mixtures based on xenon. Immersion of a living organism in such a mixture significantly slows down the metabolism, reduces the speed of blood circulation and the amount of oxygen consumption by the tissues. But the most important thing is that after returning to a normal environment, the body is able to recover on its own without any intervention and negative consequences that will certainly accompany any general anesthesia. In the long term, this means an opportunity to extend a person’s life in the face of a serious injury, which could otherwise interrupt his life, until the moment when he can be provided with qualified medical care.
Will these future Technology the basis for the development of cryocapsules, the range of application of which is limited only by our imagination, is not yet clear, but already in this form, these breakthrough discoveries of domestic minds will help save hundreds of thousands, if not millions of lives.
