The patience of Russia has burst
Amazing times have come: now the movement of troops and weapons within the territory of a sovereign state can be regrettable in the ministry of defense of another sovereign state. It is a question of deploying Iskander tactical complexes in the Kaliningrad Region.
The head of the Kremlin’s press service Dmitry Peskov emphasized on February 6 that the deployment of weapons by Russia on its territory cannot be a cause for concern for other countries, since Moscow does not threaten anyone.
The mere fact of the deployment of Iskander complexes on the territory of one of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation does not violate any bilateral agreements between Russia and the United States of America, an official spokesman for the US Department of Defense Johnny Michael admits. But the neighborhood with a country with offensive weapons, Johnny regrets. Obviously, the Pentagon would be more comfortable if Russia did not have modern and effective offensive weapons capable of hitting the military infrastructure of NATO countries.
In spite of regrets, Johnny would like to express regrets about the withdrawal of the Western Group of Forces from Germany and the closure of the military base in Cuba in pursuit of friendship with the United States. Unfortunately, the peace-loving steps of the Russian Federation were misinterpreted. The time for regrets has passed; it is time to consistently uphold the national interests of the Russian Federation.
Iskander-M is designed to destroy up to 500 km of missile systems and multiple launch rocket systems, long-range artillery, command posts and communication centers, as well as aircraft and helicopters at airfields. The fact that neighboring NATO countries and US allies are their own problems. Russia is a peace-loving country.
