Kiev suddenly faced reality in Crimea

2
In Ukraine, it is becoming increasingly clear that the process of reuniting the Crimea with Russia cannot be reversed. Following the statement of the Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Tkachev, who wondered where to get so much money for the development of the peninsula, another relatively sober opinion was voiced. Moreover, not from anyone, but from a completely pro-Ukrainian writer, political scientist and public figure, an ardent advocate of EuroMaidan Vasily Shklyar.

And the point is not even in money, but in a more significant obstacle. On the air of the Espresso.TV channel, Shklyar admitted that Crimea is a foreign territory for Ukraine. You can, of course, try to convince yourself that it belongs to Ukraine, but nothing can be done with the pro-Russian sentiments of the Crimeans.

Just imagine: tomorrow Crimea will return to us, where people are euphoric from the fact that they live in Russia. This we all say: she is not, our people are there. Well, there are our people there, so in Chicago there are more of them, and in New York there are more of them

- said the writer.

He added that he personally knows Ukrainians by nationality, who are pleased with the changes taking place in the Crimea after his accession to Russia. But the peninsula is full, as he put it, of "natural Russians."

Can you imagine how much hatred will be? Well, in a democracy, we can’t put them in their place using totalitarian methods ... It’s impossible to evict them, to settle them with our own people. And what to do with this Crimea?

- continued Shklyar. Moreover, his reasoning applies not only to Crimea, but also to those territories of Donbass that are now Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Since even without voters living in these lands, Ukraine cannot choose a parliament “patriotic” enough for this Maidan ideologist.

Our land is one that the nation can master at the level of its culture, spirituality. Otherwise, it is a gray territory, a gray zone, which slows down our progress.

- believes the Ukrainian writer.

Indeed, the Ukrainian leadership can arbitrarily claim that Crimea is Ukraine, but nothing can be done with the fact that in a referendum held on the peninsula in March 2014, 96,77% of voters chose Russia.

In an interview with RT TV channel, Crimean State Council deputy Vladislav Ganzhara responded to Shklyar's words. He noted that the opinion of this Ukrainian writer reflects reality, in contrast to the position of the Ukrainian authorities and those politicianswho continue to speculate on the Crimean issue.

I am sure that most Ukrainians are well aware that Crimea today is an integral part of the Russian Federation, that the Crimeans made an absolutely sincere choice in 2014

- the deputy declared.

In his opinion, Ukraine’s attempts to declare that Crimea is its territory hinder its own development.

Will they only hear at least any sober opinion in Kiev?

Do not flatter yourself. Hands are short to pick up, and they say that they didn’t really want to, and that people made a different choice. When did their opinions interest people?
