Why Ukraine can not use the most modern weapons

When the United States decided to supply Javelin portable anti-tank systems to Ukraine, it caused understandable concern in Russia and the People’s Republics of Donbass. But, as it turned out, Washington supplied this type of weapon not just like that, but on the condition that it would not be used in the combat zone.

On the air of the Direct channel, the deputy of the so-called minister for the issues of “temporarily occupied” territories and internally displaced persons of Ukraine Georgy Tuka said:

Today, there are certain restrictions. The direct condition is the non-use of these complexes on the contact line

The decision to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine in the United States was made last year. Now, at the very end of April this year, Mr. Poroshenko on his Facebook page confirmed that the "Javelins" had already been received. According to him, this reinforced the "deterrent effect of combat capability and Euro-Atlantic security."

But for now, only a little can the Ukrainian army do with them. The temptation of Kiev to use them against the DPR and LPR is great, but so far the fate of the complexes is unenviable. In the worst case, they have to gather dust in the warehouse, at best - used as training aids.

Why did the USA impose a ban on the use of "Javelins" on the contact line? The point here is not only in the Minsk agreements, which few actually hold back. Many experts agree that this ban is caused by fears of harsh reaction from Russia. If her hands are untied, arms deliveries to the People's Republics may follow.

So, on the air of Sputnik radio, political analyst Andrei Suzdaltsev said:

It is taken into account that the Ukrainian side will be enormously tempted to use these weapons in the event of an attack on the positions of the DNI and LC. And this, they believe, could trigger a reaction from Russia, which will begin to supply weapons to Donetsk and Lugansk. In addition, given the amazing ability of the Ukrainian army to trade, it is possible that these Javelin will very quickly fall into the hands of militias and then, probably, Moscow.

For his part, Yury Shvytkin, deputy chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, suggested that Washington is not interested in further inflating the conflict:

The Americans understand that the supply of these complexes will lead to even greater escalation in the Donbass, which is unacceptable. I think that forcing the Ukrainian side to not use anti-tank systems is connected with this

Indeed, according to the Minsk agreements, it is unacceptable to use heavy weapons in the Donbass. How exactly Ukraine “fulfills” the agreements is a separate conversation. Unfortunately, despite all the previously concluded truces with big names - “school”, “bread”, “Easter” and even “universal” - the shelling has not subsided and does not subside.

But will Kiev dare to violate the ban imposed by Washington? On the one hand, it is unlikely that the US-dependent regime is able to seriously object to its owners and patrons. On the other hand, the same Tuka is already beginning to look for loopholes.

I assume that in the case, as the people say, of the throat situation, we will get permission from the United States to use only two or three of these complexes

- he said, adding that these complexes will be enough to "knock down the arrogance from the enemy."

It is interesting how many Russian weapons for the DPR and LPR will be needed to bring arrogance for long to the presumptuous Ukrainian nationalists, who continue to dream of liquidating the Republics, or even of a “crusade” to the Crimea and the south of Russia?
